Fall down stairs

Body:

Hi all

I fell down the stairs on Friday minutes before we were to go on holiday. Very bad timing and we subsequently came back a day earlier as I haven't been able to do much as have been in pain and have been either lying on my side or crawling around on all fours. it is getting better every day but would love some advice.

I fell onto my very lower back- feels like probably sacrum area- and buttocks and this is where most pain is. I am not any exercising at all as I am trying to rest the area but amy trying to remain in posture as much as possible. Am seeing my osteopath on Thursday but in a phone consult she has advised me to rest on my back as much as possible to allow the bones of spine to heal, with knees bent. This is painful to do but also with knees bent, is this not creating an obtuse angle? Could I/ should I be doing any Wholewoman exercises? Am concerned that this fall will affect my prolapses. Any help is much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi frankie

Owww! Hey, have you seen a doctor, had x-rays etc to find out what damage you have done? I would think you need to know that you don't have any fractures before you go off to the osteopath.

Yeah, lying like you are is an obtuse angle, but I doubt that it will do any harm while you are lying down as gravity is not trying to force your pelvic organs out through your vagina. The problem with obtuse angles only occurs when you are vertical, sitting or standing.

Good luck with getting it sorted. I am sure that you will get better eventually.

Cheers
