Bellydance for birth

Body:

Hey Earthy Women

Check this out. http://www.bellydanceforbirth.com/. I wish I was having babies again. No! Stupid thought, but this would be so cool. I know Christine is not an ardent fan of bellydance, but there is a lot of philosophy parallel to Wholewoman on this site. If you click on "bellydance for birth" it takes you to a page with some links to short videos. I am so jealous of young women giving birth today. There are so many options.

Has any Member done bellydance in mid and late stages of pregnancy?

Christine, I will be contacting this woman with info about Wholewoman.

Cheers

Louise

I read about this in 'The Babycatcher' during my third pg and it left such an impression on me. good thing too, that labor was over 21 hours and HARD work. towards the end I grabbed onto dh's belt loops for support and danced through the contractions. probably not 'real' bellydancing, but whatever works, right?

and my mw gave me some exercises for late pg to encourage optimal positioning that felt kinda like belly dancing. or hula-hooping.

:::::;off to check out the link::::::

That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. So very far from my own experience.
