It's a Girl!

Body:

I am very pleased to announce I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl two weeks ago today! So, no longer mumwithone, but a very happy mumwithtwo.

My health has been very good. After a much better birth experience this time I was very happy to find that my POP remains where it was pre-pregnancy. I actually feel much better than I did after giving birth to my first bub so I'm hopeful I'll have a very good recovery.

I'm eternally thankful to you Christine and the ladies on this forum who have given me the strength and confidence to have a second baby after experiencing POP. Thank you!

Hi Mumwithtwo and a big smile on her face

What is that glow in the eastern sky? The sun coming up? No it's Mumwithtwo, smiling her face off! I am so happy for you that the birth went well and that your prolapses have weathered the storm. Did I ever doubt that it would be so for a normal birth?

It is lovely to have you to add to the list of Mums with prolapse who have gone on to have another baby with no worsening of prolapse.

I hope your little girl is kind to you and is adjusting well to life in the real world. No doubt you will have your down times with POP as we all do, but I am sure your body will progress well.

Congratulations to Dadwithtwo as well. Take care, and catch up with you online later.

Louise

Mumwithtwo,

Congratulations! The second child is a true joy. My second has continued to be a pleasure and a joy for 34 years. I couldn't have asked for a better child.

Take care of yourself,

Judy

I am so glad you had the birth you wanted. That is so wonderful it gives me the chills...and I am glad to hear that you do not think your pregnancy and birth made the prolapse any worse.

Congratulations to you, Mumwithtwo! A precious little daughter -Such joyful news!!!

Glad to hear that you faired so well and that your prolapse seems to be feeling no worse for wear. Continue to take good care. Bless you, your new babe, and the rest of your crew too.

How wonderful! Each and every post-prolapse birth is a joy and blessing beyond description. I'm so happy for you, Mum...please keep us posted on your progress. Sending many tiny baby-hugs to the blessed one...xxxxxoooChristine

Congratulations on your new baby girl mumwithtwo! Nothing is more exciting than a new baby. Well done, enjoy and I'm wishing all you of much happiness and good health!

Thanks for the kind thoughts and wishes everyone. I am definitely glowing with happiness at having two beautiful daughters - you're right Louise!! I'll keep you posted on how things go but I have taken bub for a couple of walks in the sling over the last couple of days and I'm feeling great, only slight weakness from the birth but my POP is certainly much better than it was a few weeks after having my first bub. When I've got a bit more time I'll post more on my birth experiences in the new forum topic.

sorry I'm so late in responding, it seems as soon as I sit down to type a response someone needs me. but anyway...

how AWESOME for you that things went as you had hoped. I'm so totally thrilled that you're no worse off prolapse wise

and two girls, how sweet! I think every girl needs a sister, yours are very blessed.

congrats to you and your dh and family, babies are such a blessing. and in a strange way I kinda feel like all these 'prolapse' babies are part of our big family here. so blessings all around!

enjoy the girls and don't forget to take good care of yourself (or better yet, let someone else take good care of you!)

Thanks for your well wishes granolamom, and for all your support and encouragement and advice along the way. I'm feeling so good I have to be careful that I DO rest, it's so much different to last time. I hope everything continues to 'hold up' okay but I'm just taking one day at a time. I feel very thrilled to have two gorgeous daughters - I know how wonderful it's been having a sister myself. Best thoughts to you and your family.
