just got video-quck questions

Body:

Hi everyone...
i just got the video and i am excited..i also have fibromyalgia even though I am pretty young (28)..i have been ill with this for some time..i tire very easily and especially with the fatigue and pain from fibro..i find it very draining and straining to hold the new postures..while sitting..standing is not too bad...i am determined to do it, but i was wondering for the times that i am just exhausted and soar, and really just need to flop back in my couch or chair, can i use a lumbar pillow to try and support the curve in my back while i am sitting there..i know that over time that my body will adjust and get use to the new postures..also did any find that massage or chiropratcor helped while adjusting to new postures again...my back gets really soar..thanks soo much...i kow that my fibro makes training the new postures even worse then normal but it is normal for it to be uncomfortable at first right? i just want to make sure
love shannon

Just flop onto your favorite couch or chair any way you want - the body is very flexible and can tolerate lounging - but keep incorporating the postures as much as you can. Slowly. Slowly. Slowly. Everyone is sore at first. I hope these diet and lifestyle changes will help your overall health. I would hope that everyone could supplement this work with regular massage, like help from a sculptor moving our fascial structures into place.

With time, you'll find slouching uncomfortable and unconsciously pull yourself into the correct posture. I have no comfortable where to sit anymore, so I lie on my side on the loveseat most of the time or on the floor with my children. I am still nursing my baby and the really only comfortable nursing position is lying on my side. And driving my van--ugh! I push my bottom as far back into the seat as possible so I can sit up straight. When I pregnant I used a pillow to help. It is amazing how taking it a day at a time you really do develop a new posture. I feel so aligned in the posture and definitely know when I am not in it. However, lounging in the tub is not in the posture, but also not uncomfortable. I think the boyance and warmth of the water help.

Hi Shannon
I was sore when I began this postural work too. I did find chiropractic helpful. I also have fibro but it comes and goes. So I do what I can and then I rest.

Talk about SORE! Was I ever but then I was accused of walking slouched over numerous times. And now, should I do that, my body knows it. Walking properly is second nature now. Even the sitting and standing. Wouldn't have it any other way, because I "look" taller.
