Body:

I was trying to determine if my uterus has also begun to prolapse. It seems that my cervix is not pointed straight down but more towards my left side. Does that make any sense? Maybe I just don't know what I'm feeling. Maybe its time to visit the midwife. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

The uterus is rather free floating within the pelvis and does not take a fixed, unmoving position. I remember reading that it is usually slightly pointing to one side or the other (I can't remember which) because of the asymetrical nature of other organs that surround it like the intestines. This would problably cause the cervix to be somewhat other than exactly centered as well.

thanks, christine. Now I can rest assured that its "normal" whatever that means. As always, you are a wellspring of information.

I've just done alot of reading and experimenting with my body and now all of yours :-). I must remind you, granolamom, that I'm not a doctor and any question you have about your health or anatomy should be addressed to your regular doctor/midwife.
