Wondering where to start?

Body:

I'm sure the answers to my questions are on this site somewhere but there's so much information to go through and I'm a little impatient to get started so I just thought ask. Firstly, would the book "saving the whole women" be a good place to start? I notice there's DVDs and other products but I'd like to start with learning everything, so would be the book be the right thing to purchase first? And also, is there a tough estimate on how soon after I begin with my posture that I might feel a difference? I understand its different for everyone, I'm just hoping to get an idea of how long before I notice I feel a little better or notice some improvement in how I feel. . Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this site! Yes, the book is the best way to start. If you can afford it, also purchase the DVD First Aid for Prolapse. I bought the bundle since I knew I would get it all eventually. But these two things are the greatest place to start. You will read a lot about the successes in the success stories. But, just to let you know how it has gone for me....I started here almost a year ago now...can't believe it has been that long already. My first weeks were panic and fear and upset. When I found this site, I just went with it because it all felt right to me. The first couple of weeks in posture were difficult, tiring, aching, but I just kept at it. Within a couple of weeks, it started to feel good to be in posture. Walking slowly and standing were better than sitting for me but within six weeks, I could sit again and regain my normal life. Learning to relax the belly has been a challenge and I continue to think of my posture a lot but no longer feel it is the only thing I can think of. I am forever grateful to Christine, to Surviving and Louise and Fab who all post here. The women here are candid and caring and ever so generous in sharing their thoughts, their time and their compassion. I am happy that you found your way here! Best wishes to you.

I agree with Ms. N - I'm a reader and I started with the book, and that was all I had for the entire first year. To this day I still refer to it over and over. Next was the First Aid for Prolapse DVD because I really wanted some visuals. I got a whole bunch of favorite moves from that! Since then I have acquired the whole collection, one DVD at a time. If you can spring for one of the bundles, do so. - Surviving

Could anyone tell me what the first aid DVD is actually about? Money is a bit of an issue for me at the moment, I'm getting the book but I'm wondering if I should invest in the DVD now or wait until I can afford it more comfortably. I'm also an avid reader so I'm thinking maybe starting with the book will be ok. I'll probably read it in a few hours and then reread it over and over until I know every word!

Lots of extremely valuable background information, a workout, and a "dictionary of movements" that explains all the moves and what they do. It's fabulous. Christine is a gem. Get it now, or later. If you're getting one thing, now, I'd go for the book, but others will have their own opinions about that. - S60

Thank you. I think I'll get the book now then the DVD a bit later.I'm more of a reader so I think I'll the most out of the book.
