Feeling really down

Body:

Hi everyone,

As from previous posts you will know I'm displaying all the signs of a rectocele. I seem to be having more issues with this to the point that complete evacuation ( of stool) seems pretty impossible. The constant pressure ( on the rectum) is Becoming hard to deal with, particularly the pain in passing a stool is draining me. I have a large lump protruding into vagina (stool) which is usually evacuated by "splinting" with thumb into vagina. I feel like I'm not normal having to go through this at every Bm.
I have a constant heavy sensation and feel old before my time tonight. This may sound strange but i have the sensation of my intestines laying in my groin? There is quite a bit if pressure in this area. I'm hoping things can get better :(
In addition to this, feelings of anxiety continue to creep up on me, and I worry that these symptoms could be something more worrisome!

Sorry to moan, I don't feel I can discuss this with anyone else.

Hi Mary1. I'm sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time. When you posted last month, a couple of us gave you some good suggestions about trying Whole Woman posture, which is how we are managing our prolapse. Have you looked into it? I think that if you start to address the problem, you will feel better. Read the forum and other pages on the site; hear what others are going through and how they are dealing with it. Consider getting the book and/or First Aid for Prolapse DVD, and start helping yourself. The posture can help get that pressure off the vagina. Please consider it - ask any questions here. - Surviving

I am sending you hugs Mary! I wrote a comment but for some reason it disappeared so here I go again. I also felt like you...really down. Then I remembered that years ago, I bought Christine's first book. I re-read it and came upon this website which I did not notice at the first reading of the book. Somewhere I found that Christine gives one hour phone consultations for a fee. I cannot tell you how much that consultation helped me out....in addition to her information, advice and this site I now have hope that I will be able to manage. If you feel that you really need someone with whom to discuss your fears, you might want to consider her consultation. As Surviving60 reminded you, practice the WW Posture...that is what I am doing while I await the second edition of Christine's book and the DVDs. There is hope, you are not alone.

One thing you are not alone. I have felt the same way. More than I want to admit. Big hugs for you.
