When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Lifting weights
I don't know if lifting weights is a factor in your setback. If you have increased the weights and now you are having a prolapse setback, I would certainly consider that possibility.
Lifting weights at a gym is not something I would have ever had the nerve to do after discovering prolapse and starting the WW work. - Surviving

Are you fertile?
Could it be hormonal in nature?

For Ozmama
I would not be surprised if the weights are the cause. While having a pessary, I did many liftings of 50 pound suitcases, for several days. The result was bleeding and extensive damage inside from which I am currently trying to heal. (The good part of all that was that I discovered this site!)
Some time ago, I read that eating the seeds of papaya would kill off parasites so I googled and found some videos stating the same. Someone wrote that eating 1/4 cup for a week got rid of the parasites. Google the words papaya parasite and you will find much info.
How heavy were the weights you lifted?

Hormones, weights and parasite
Thanks for your thoughts ladies.
I have a mirena - had it inserted about 6 months ago. Since I have barely had periods - just spotting. I do wonder whether it is such a good idea now but it didn't seem to affect my prolapse so I hadn't been in any rush to remove. My acupuncturist thinks I should remove it.
I have gradually been increasing my weights at the gym. I started very slowly - putting posture first - and I noticed my POP felt better after going so I then felt more and more confident at the gym. I wouldn't say the weights I have been lifting are that heavy compared to the gym junkies I stand near...but heavier than what I had previously been lifting.
Thanks for the parasite tip....I have been told the one I have is pretty hard to kill. I have tried both antibiotic treatment and a few natural approaches....yet to kill it. Am seeing someone soon who was an MD now into natural therapies who has a specialisation in parasitology so fingers crossed I get some good solid advice there.
Will continue on the light weights and up my WW yoga videos (which I love). Keep up the posture and fingers crossed I move forward again.
Would be interested in any views about the mirena and whether that could be a contributing factor...

Hi, I am not sure what a 'mirena' is? And i am also not real sure what a 'pessary' is? But I used a diaphram for birth control and I hated it. I didn't want to take birth control pills and I had an IUD but had it removed quickly after I developed an infection. But the diaphram seemed to pull like with a suction whenever I took it out and it was difficult for me to get into place when inserting it. So it seems to me all these devices that we put inside our vaginas, we have to take out, with all that inner action I would feel would contribute to prolapsing. I do not have evidence of this it just seems to make sense.
