Update from Louise

Body:

Hi All

1 Just reporting that my mobile phone is once again in my hands, so I can be contacted once again on the number on my Practitioner page.

2 Also reporting that I won't be on the Forums again for another week. Our daughter is being married next Saturday, and the Reception is at our place, so it is all hands on deck until then.

3 A health update. I have had the flu, yeah, the real thing, three days of fevers. It had me being carted off to hospital when it sounded like I was delirious and dying, but alas, I didn't. I am still here. Have basically been in bed for five days. Now sounding worse, but feeling a heap better. It has left me with a nasty cough and a tight and gurgley chest. I am in the middle of a course of antibiotics, which my guts don't like, but the bugs don't like it either. You can't please all the bacteria all the time, so that's the way it is for another day or two. It feels like my asthma is back, but I am sure I will be able to over come this as well.

What I really want to report is that I was really concerned at about day three, because my cystocele was right in my vulva from all the coughing, and I could also feel what I thought was my cervix wriggling around, low n my vagina. Not nice sensations at all. The coughing worsened, but I began steam inhalations, Ventolin occasionally, used a vaporiser at night in my room, to make the room air moister, and panadol at night to calm my throat. Yadayada . It is now day 6, and my pelvic organs seem to have moved back to where they belong. No more weird sensations, except when I actually cough.

I think I am going to live.

Oh good heavens, girl! Had a feeling something was up. Congrats on the upcoming marriage. It all sounds like a bit much and I'm wondering if your recovery is going to go off the rails before this is all over with. Take care please!! Love to the happy couple and especially the mom of the bride. - Surviving
