When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hello Want2know
The article of Dr. Carmack is at http://wholewoman.com/blog/?p=555
Many years ago, I use to have lots of UTI, if you drop a piece of toilet paper over the water of the toilet bowl before you urinate, the aerosols will not form and you diminish the chances of getting infected again. Also, if you can lift your behind over the toilet bowl with your head low almost touching the floor and usually the leftover urine will flow out. I had to drink 10 or more tall glasses of hot water with parsley like a tea and had parsley in salads, in those times the antibiotics were not available but parsley did help, when the UTI was very bad, a medicine called piridium took care of the pain I do not know if it is still in use or not. I hope you feel better soon!

Now that I Read Dr Carmack's
information, I wonder if my bed-time snack is causing me problems. She suggests that I drink cranberry juice before going to bed .... to help kill bacteria in the bladder ... since urine retention is longer during the night.
For the past few years I have been having a bowl of whole wheat Cheerios in a bowl ... with milk .... as my bedtime snack
I think a change is in order. Bye-bye Cheerios :(

continuous bladder infections
want2know...I am glad that you found Dr. Carmack's article.
Well, I thought I had cured my last infection by natural means but here I am two weeks later with an infection. I could just cry...I feel so hopeless. I am back trying to cure this myself with all of the suggestions from Dr. Carmack. In desperation yesterday, I went to see an acupuncturist and signed up for 12 sessions. She cannot assure me that this will help and explained that this is very, very hard to treat. She believes my immune system is in very bad shape which of course is logical after all the antibiotics that I have taken. I have no choice but to be absolutely diligent in my efforts. I want to avoid the antibiotics so that I can build my immune system back up and then maybe avoid these uti's. (Last week, I did see a WW practitioner and she was helpful with the WW posture for the cystocele.)

I'm So Sorry, Susan
It is so frustrating to think that it's cured and then have it come back.
My gynecologist thinks that my stone may have been created in the urethra. I figure that she's thinking it's a bladder stone -- made up of crystalized urine.
It seems that these stones can also create bladder infections!!
Anyway .... all being well, I see a urologist on Thursday next week. Maybe he'll have some answers for me.
I have to go on a nine-hour road-trip next weekend, so I hope that I can get this problem under control.

urethra stone
w2k...I just scanned all the posts on bladder infections to see where you previously mention a stone. Have you? Have you passed the stone? I certainly understand your concern about the car trip. I too was planning a trip and am now having 2nd thoughts. I have having to drink so much water I feel tethered to the commode!

I mentioned the stone on this discussion thread.
I think I started another discussion, though, on stones. That's where most of the stuff has been posted.

The Road Trip
I can't avoid the road trip this time, Susan. I just got news that my sister has only months -- perhaps weeks -- to live. So I need to go and see her
I'll take my water/cranberry juice and other fluids along with me and only drink within an hour of stopping. I plan to stop about every 2 hours for a break

I won't be going for a week yet ... unless things change for the worse quickly ... first, the urologist appointment on Thursday, then the road trip

W2k I am so so sorry to hear
W2k I am so so sorry to hear what you are dealing with, and will keep your family in my thoughts. This kind of stress is not a good thing to add into the prolapse/UTI mix, so please please try to look after yourself the best you can! - Surviving

You may want to get on the internet and research different options for treating a UTI naturally.
I have heard that 'cranberry juice' does not work for everyone.
If I have some time to look and find something I will type it in and let you know.

Thank you Surviving and Rose
I'm sure that these problems are caused/intensified by stress :(
Although I'm working on ww posture and breathing, they haven't become 'second nature' yet. I'm sure when they do, some of my problems will disappear.
I'd appreciate any more information I could get about treating UTIs naturally, Rose. I have been drinking a mix of concentrated cranberry juice and club soda daily for the last few months. I'm also drinking about 16 oz of water with 1/4 cup lemon juice in it daily.
Greatly reducing sugar and caffeine intake has certainly helped too.

Thank God, my sister is prepared to go Home to Heaven. I just hope that I can be a help to her when I go to visit.
I'm a little nervous about the urologist appointment this morning, but I'm interested in knowing what solutions he can offer -- BUT NOT SURGERY!!!!

Without Doing an Examination,
the urologist thinks that it is a ureterocele. He is taking this information from the report from the ultrasound on August 20th. He wants to check the 'pictures' that the technician took so that he will know exactly where it is and how to proceed.
He says that it is a condition that I have had for YEARS and that it is not urgent. He also says that it would be no problem if I decided to do nothing about it. However, he believes that it is the cause of my continuous UTIs and that if I want to get to the root of the problem I need to address it.
So .... the next step is a cystoscopy -- IF I'm willing. He knows I'm not willing **chuckle** and he knows that I'd like to find a natural solution. If I find a natural solution, he wants to know what it is **chuckle**
As I read the sheet (requiring my signature) for the cystoscopy, I did not like what I saw. I am giving him permission to enter into my bladder and see where the stone is and what is necessary to remove it. Once he's in there, my signature on that paper gives him (and his associates) full permission to do whatever they deem necessary to 'fix the problem'!!!!
So ... it seems that my choices are: (1) to let him 'fix' the problem; (2) to continue to search for a natural method of removing the stone; or (3) to do nothing -- but continue to keep my bladder flushed with cranberry juice and clear fluids

Needless to say, I did not go through with the cystoscopy
For one thing, the urologist HAD NOT EVEN SEEN THE ULTRASOUND WHEN HE MADE HIS DIAGNOSIS!!! He said that the stone was in the URETER, but my family Doctor had shown me the ultrasound report that said the stone was in the URETHRA!!

I Just want to fill you in
on what has been happening since I last posted back in September. As I had mentioned in one of last year's posts, my sister was dying of cancer in Oct/Nov 2013.
Last Summer I changed some of my eating habits and adapted WW posture & breathing. I lost about 20 lbs and was feeling much better by November last year. However with the necessary travel etc because of the funeral and because of the busy Christmas season, I slacked off a bit and regained 15 lbs :(
However, I have not had another bladder infection!!
My research had indicated that there were certain things I could eliminate from my diet and other healthy things that I should include in my diet and I believe that some of these changes have probably cleared up my bladder problems.
It appears that last Sunday I may have passed the stone that could have been causing the problem!!

So so sorry w2k to hear about your sister's passing. Can't imagine what a difficult time it has been with all these bladder problems further complicating things. The good part is, now you can get back to focusing on yourself and your own health and well-being with this stone gone from your life. Many hugs to you! - Surviving
