Stage 4 Prolapse

Body:

Good Morning Ladies,

I found your site last night. Feels good to be able to see that I am not alone. I just found out that I have Pelvic Organ Prolapse Stage 4. I have never had any pain, just some discomfort. I told my GYN that I was having a problem with incontinence and wondered what I could do. She sent me to the Urologist and I was dumfounded. Today I have to have an Ultrasound to find out if my kidneys are affected. I also found out that I have a bladder infection, but I have never had any pain. I know I have a high threshold but you would think I would have felt that. I am just dumbfounded.

Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thanks for listening!

Sexylegs

Hi sexylegs and welcome. First let me say, stages or grades of prolapse are not terribly significant as a diagnosis, because the organs are on the move all the time. That being said, there is no way you have a stage 4 prolapse, because something would be hanging out of your vagina, which you would not have failed to notice! So for now, I would concentrate on getting informed before you go see any of these doctors.

Start by going to the Resources tab, then choose WW Village Library, and there you will see a search box on the right side of the screen. Enter prolapse self-exam, click on the link for the article, and read.

Next, under Resources, go to the video page and watch the first video, called Whole Woman Approach. It's a 20-minute overview of prolapse, why surgery is not the solution, and how Christine Kent's postural approach is the safest and best way to manage prolapse.

Happy reading, do some homework on the site and then come back and post your questions. - Surviving
