When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hi brazilian and welcome
Lifting of heavy weights in poor posture, and intense ab-crunching "core" workouts in general, are extremely bad for pelvic organ support. Do some reading around the site, starting with the home page and also on the blog and resources pages (check out the first video under Resources) and get an idea for how we manage prolapse naturally. Surgeries are dangerous; they destroy the natural dynamics of organ support and they often fail anyway. Returning to natural posture is the key to getting the organs to move forward into the relaxed lower belly, but it's very difficult sometimes even just to convince women that pulling in their stomachs for all these years has been harmful.
Doctors don't have much of value to offer in this area. Time to take things into your own hands. Do some research and ask your questions here. - Surviving

pelvic organ prolapse; pop
Hi brazilian32,
Welcome to the WW community. I hope you find this site as helpful as I have. You're not alone in feeling devastated by pelvic organ prolapse. Many, if not most, of the women on this site have felt similar feelings as you, especially in the early days.
The WW approach is safe, natural and effective for many women. It is based on normal healthy anatomy and the treatment is all about good health. So most women who participate in this approach get healthier than before! It sounds as if you're aware of healthy living, but have been doing things that promote pelvic organ prolapse without even realising it. That's the case for most of us.
However, help is at hand. Once you understand the basic underlying principles, this knowledge will help you to feel better. Basically there are things you can do to make things worse, and things you can do to make things better. So you do more of the things that make you better and less of the things that make you worse!
I recommend you invest in some WW resources. If you are someone who likes to understand the theory behind the practice, then the book is very good. The dvd's are excellent ways of learning the WW posture and the postures/exercises which promote good pelvic organ health. The 1st Aid for Prolapse is dance based, the others are yoga based.
Do not worry. You know have a wealth of experience, knowledge and support available via the website, this forum, the resources and even more and more WW teachers to turn to in some areas.
If you have a uterine prolapse - and it sounds as if you might. You can gently push up your cervix as high as it will go with your finger, (clean hands of course). Then stay in a standing forward bend for 3 breaths.Come up a great WW posture and try to live as much as possible in WW posture. When I was more symptomatic I did this every time I went to the loo. It really helped!
Sex will not harm pelvic organ prolapse usually. Although when/if this feels right is very personal. An erect penis inside the vaginal passage can be good for uterine prolapse as it's pushing the cervix up where it optimally belongs.
Good luck and take heart. Things can definitely get better.
Love and hugs, wholewomanuk
PS Plse don't expect your doctor to know this information. This is cutting edge knowledge - although as old as the hills!

Hi brazilian32,
Just re-read this. Apologies - it sounds as if you've got a urethrocele or cystocele. I must've got mixed up after reading a few threads.
I also suggest you get firmly familiar with the WW posture. If you do weight lift in future then make sure you do so with WW posture and carry weights high up re your body and close to your body. It's no coincidence that in traditional cultures women often carry heavy weights on their heads.
Most activities are ok so long as they adhere to WW posture and principles. In time it becomes second nature.
I would always recommend women try the WW approach first, and you keep your options open. However once women have surgery, then the option to not have surgery has gone.
Good luck - and wishing you all the best.

Surgery
Hello Brazilian, I am waiting for my books and DVD'S on WW plus save your hips.I have been checking out the WW sight over the last week.I was enlightened to the amount of info and other women with the same problems and their comments. My doc and gyn both told me 3weeks ago I should have the mesh surgery.I am 64.I came across this site, or lead to it, an now have more knowledge about prolapse, and feel more in charge of my own body as well as understanding.I did for a few days thought I would reluctantly have the surgery but now have cancelled my next appointment in 3weeks to tell my gyn that I would have it done.I am very happy to try the WW rather than possibly have problems after surgery.I have heard more negative feed back than positive.I do think once you feel confident in yourself knowing there is an alternative it really helps. It enlightened me a lot. I also feel I have the power to help my own body. We do all have choices. Wishing you well.

So true Honney - I know I
So true Honney - I know I felt instantly better the minute I found this site, well before my book arrived. Just to know that the condition is so prevalent, is not serious, can be managed....made me realize instantly that I would be fine. Learning that surgery is not only unnecessary, but best avoided altogether, was such a relief that I broke out of my panicked state very quickly. I wish everyone would make this leap sooner rather than later. - Surviving
