Hi Ladies,

I am 58 years old and have one child a 14 year old. Last year
I discovered a surprise while taking a shower. I was told that
this thing hanging was normal and as long as it didn't change
I could leave it alone. Well quess what! it is now considered
a mild to moderate prolapse. I was told the only option is
a hysterectomy. I found your site and I am looking for another
way to treat my problem. I have many questions but the first
one is related to weight training. I currently do leg lifts and
the one where you pull down the weights from over your head
to your shoulder. Will this make my prolapse worse??

Tkanks

Welcome to Whole Woman, Kathy,

Ah yes, the "do nothing" prescription...please excuse my cynicism, but it sounds like "fattening the calf" to me!

I'm not a fan of either of those exercises (if you're talking about leg lifts while lying on the floor.) Both send undue pressure through an area of the body that is very compromised for many of us.

Wishing you well,

Christine
