Undiagnosed rectocele

Body:

Hi guys !
I had my little boy 15 months ago. It was a long delivery (40 hours). I had suction and forceps. A few of my stitches burst after having my son due to severe swelling.

Apart from piles everything was going fine untill a few weeks ago. I was passing a bowl movement when I noticed something bulging out from my pelvic floor muscle (sorry for being over descriptive). It comes out through the back passage and the vagina.

Ever since I keep having more and more problems including bloating, pain, constipation and vomiting if I eat a large meal. I'm very good with my diet and take loads of laxatives. I do keagels every day and exercise regularly. I went to my gynecologist and was told yes I have a prolapse but to just take more laxatives. She refused to send me to a physio therapist or send me for a smear test(my gp said to get one done as I have an eroded cervix).

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next about my prolapse? I am 23 so maybe my age is part of the reason she felt I might recover naturally. With this being said I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure in my teens and it was a complete shock I had my son. Maybe my natural hormone levels are not helping the situation.

Thanks everyone :)

Hello Irishmammy and welcome,
Have you had a chance to read around this site? Here you will find the solution to pelvic organ prolapse, and that is the whole woman posture. Christine Kent has researched extensively on this issue, and has provided us with the information we need to move forward, naturally and safely.
You can start at the tool bar above, and come back to us with any questions about this very important work.

Hmmm.....why do you take loads of laxatives? And why is your doctor telling you to take more? Maybe you need to tell us a bit more about what you mean by a good diet. Meanwhile, ditch the kegels (Christine has written several pieces on how they simply aggravate prolapse by pulling the organs in the wrong direction). Here is an overview of the Whole Woman work:
