When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

If you are using correct toileting posture, I don't think it will matter how many times you have to go. There may be other measures you can take to keep your stool soft without overdoing the magnesium (I have eliminated stool softeners for my elderly mom by grinding flax seeds very finely and adding to her meals). I have rectocele and eat a fairly poop-friendly diet and though I don't have to splint, I do go at least twice in the AM and more during the day. The feeling of incomplete emptying is common with rectocele but I don't worry too much when I feel it.....i rarely have time to sit and wait, I just figure I'll get it with the next go-around! - Surviving

It is likely the posture
It is likely the posture approach. I also visit at least twice in the morning time. It feel unempty but don't enter yourself into anxiety. You can try lowering the dosage it might help to restrict BM.

The incomplete feeling leaves
The incomplete feeling leaves me with high anxiety! I can feel it there and it drives me crazy. I am going to cut back on the magnesium and see what happens. I've never had so many issues with this and I feel like I may be doing too much.

Hi militarymom1,
Hi militarymom1,
I believe there is a balance to finding the right diet for you to help with the movement of stool through your bowels.
Magnesium can be very harsh for some, but others are barely affected by it, so playing with the dosage may be helpful.
I worked on my bowel issues on my own by experimenting with different foods, and I also found much relief by continuing the whole woman work. The posture helps straighten out the rectum, creating better flow, and making splinting less necessary.

Hi militarymom1,
Hi militarymom1,
Some of us posted some advice in the thread linked below that you may have missed.
I sometimes get the urge to go in the morning and can't pass any or little amount. Usually it resolves itself within the hour.
I am very careful to have my routine breakfast and an extra cup of herb tea to make sure I go.
I used to use magnesium but had a diet high in animal protein, and fats, not many vegetables, and also used oil in cooking. I did not eat much refined sugar, however loved too much salt.
Magnesium supplements were drastic in that it made the rest of my body dehydrated no matter how much water I drank, and I had a couple of numb fingertips with tingling nerve ends. This went away after I gave away the magnesium - (it draws so much water into the bowel).
I now am basing my diet on plants, as little salt as possible and not cooking with oil.
The increase in wet fiber has helped immensely, from root veg, whole fruits and other veg, legumes and bread. I have oil free peanut butter, and avocado.
I am finding that I don't have to drink copious amounts of water anymore, however keep a supply of peppermint tea handy when I am at home.
Yes, I have rebelled and also fitted in with the diets of others, on occasion and have found it all too hard sometimes, but I have resolved to as stay close to this way of eating to see how I go.
It really helps with elimination, far better than any results I have had before.
I do sometimes go twice in the mornings, or skip a day and go twice the next day, however I try to keep the same breakfast and give myself time to go especially if I am going out/away.
whole woman work, and diet has pretty much resolved the issue of rectocele for me and I don't notice it much anymore. i don't get a lot of warning that a bowel movement is on its way, but I also don't get the discomfort in the abdomen that I used to before a B.M. comes.
Work on the posture, and I also found fire breathing and the other exercises including walking helps massage the abdominal area, helps with circulation and frees the organs up, giving them the space to function at their best.
As you work on posture and diet, your body will tell you what it needs - that is one of the things that happens when we adopt the posture and learn to work with ourselves. I have been doing this for nearly five years now and am amazed at the progress I have made.
I wish you well in your whole woman journey,
Aussie Soul Sister
PS I also have been experimenting in this last week, with some coconut cream in my decaf or coffee limited to 1 of each a day and that is helping with satiation, however it seems to be affecting bowel movements a bit. I want to give up coffee anyway, but I would still use some of the cream in food like in soup or curry or instead of cows milk in a recipe. I think some fats are helpful, it is just a balancing act!

It may be that you are taking
It may be that you are taking too much magnesium. Cut back the amount. Have you tried probiotics? They need to be high quality ones, I have found them useful. Also I have increased the amount of prebiotic food I eat,(Google and you will see the recommended list) this helps and then makes the toilet positioning so much easier.
