soft cup

Body:

I just saw in the drugstore, in the isle with sanitary napkins, something called a soft cup. I bought it after reading the directions........it is used for menstruation but I thought it might hold my prolapse in place as it seems like a pessary or a diaphragm. any advice or comments? I have not opened it or tried it yet. I am such a survivor but apprehensive at the same time. can anyone relate to that behavior?

Hi healing with passion,
Personally, I wouldn't want to keep something like that shoved up inside of me. They are meant for the duration of a period, and I am assuming they are taken out to be cleaned several times daily, I would think from a hygiene standpoint . And, besides that, if you prolapse is severe enough, it would just push it out anyway.
But, you can do what you want. Let us know what happens.

Prolapse, even at its worse can make you feel uncomfortable, but the actual prolapse itself really shouldn't be the culprit, although depression can make a person feel tired too. I think surviving covered it pretty well in the link above.

I could not get the cup in because my prolapse is low even when I push it up. I appreciate all the advice. I do not have a dr as I do not like them and have been misdiagnosed by each of the ones I went to for another disorder not just one MD.. thank you so much. I do think fear and other emotional things may be causing me to be so tired.
