Yoni egg or jade egg

Body:

Has anyone ever used one of these to improve cervical prolapse or to use as a kind of pessary to hold everything up? I have a grade 1/2 uterine prolapse at 4 weeks postpartum and it is ruining my time with my newborn. Every time I stand up or walk across the house (i haven't left the house) i am stricken with anxiety that my prolapse will get worse. I'm so preoccupied with it be it is causing me a great deal of stress. I am finding the posture really hard to master and I end up with great abdominal muscle pain because I'm so rigid every time I am up right. Please help.

Hello Whywhywhat,
Can you tell us which of the Whole Woman materials you have and what your routine is? I only ask because whole woman walking as well as the exercises can greatly help to strengthen those muscles into posture. It should really be relaxed, although I know at first it feels so stiff and foreign to our bodies. But, over time it really does become more comfortable.
Also, you really need to give your body the time it needs to heal after having a baby. Christine has some wonderful work just for the postpartum experience that you may also want to look into.
As far as the jade egg is concerned, it is just like all the other gadgets out there. It may give you some temporary relief, but in the long run, it will be holding the vagina open when it should be a closed airless space that prevents further prolapsing of our pelvic organs.
If you have any trouble finding particular whole woman products, just let us know.

Thank you. I have been trying the posture, but I don't really understand how you can have a soft lower belly but an engaged and pulled up upper belly. I also have diastasis recti and the posture if making my upper abdominales really tender and sore.

Have you seen Christine's Goddess belly? She addresses Diastasis recti in this wonderful video. My daughter has actually used it for the same problem, and said it really helped.

I never felt rigid while I was learning the posture. Relax the lower belly, and lift the chest strongly. Don't think about "engaging" anything. - Surviving

How do you know if you are in the WW posture correctly? I am trying to relax my abdomen, lift my rib cage or upper torso and keep my chin slightly tucked.

Hi Kbay16,
The best way I knew was by watching Christine and ladies in the videos, and really listening, and practicing, until the elements started to just stick.

I have been doing that. It's just difficult to evaluate yourself. How long does it take before you see a difference and how do you know if you are improving? It has only been a week, and as of today, my rectocele feels about the same. I guess you could tell by how far down the rectocele is located?

Depending on how old you are, the lumbar curvature comes on its own. For me, It took almost a year before my body really started taking on the proper shape, although I did notice subtle changes as time went on. You will also notice more symptom free moments throughout the day, and then all day, and then many days in a row, and so on. Younger women would probably have a shorter time of this, but it still takes patience for results to follow.

Can you tell us which of the materials you have and what your routine has been with the whole woman work? Whole woman walking and Christine's exercises can help in strengthening these stubborn muscles, but it does take the time to see these end results for most of us.

p.s.If this continues to be a problem for you, you could have an evaluation from one of the whole woman practitioners to meet in person or even skype.
