I need your advice about book or dvd exercises

Body:

So ladies,
Help me out here. I have been doing the exercises from the book for about a week now. It takes me about 35 min total. I received the dvd today and watched it and the exercises are totally different and from start to finish only took about 10 minutes. So my question is, what exercises are the best for me to do. I do them in the morning before work but I want to do whatever is going to be the most beneficial. I only have about 30 min. to do them. Give me your advice.
Patty

I've been on the site for about a year. I first got First Aid for Prolapse, which I used faithfully nightly until I received the new book. Here' s my take on it. I think the new workout is awesome. Not only is it totally fun, I find it's really building core strength and retraining the whole musculoskeletal system. Every day, I am seeing the benefit of what I think Christine is talking about in this regard. That's why I think she created the new workout to be one almost totally on the feet. So, personally, I do the book workout primarily, and supplement with some of the exercises that I love from the First Aid for Prolapse dvd. Currently, I am doing them on alternate nights, although I'm beginning to do part of the book workout (up to the section with the baton) one night and the baton exercises the next night.

I'm curious that you can do it in 35 minutes. Are you doing the exercises with the music cd provided? It takes me about 45 minutes just to do the part of the workout with the barre, and the rest is about 15 minutes. I highly recommend using the music, because of the tempo, and the amoutn of time is important in holding the posture throughout the interval where the music is played. I can't overstress this as it is in really working with the posture and the exercises that that upward direction in the body is worked on and reinforced (i'm sure Christine would express what I'm trying to say more accurately).

Anyway, I think it's great to have both workouts. I still use the first one for some of the exercises. But, hands down, I think that Christine's current routine reflects all the research and genius that she brings to the issues of prolapse since the time the first workout was created.

I've also found that it is taking time to learn the whole routine, and if I can't do it all one day, I don't sweat it. I know things are happening.

Hope that helps.

Marie and Patty…I’m so elated to hear this! I knew a certain percentage of women would make the effort to study and really learn the program on their own. It’s true that there is joy in reinforcing the body into its proper shape and you are SO RIGHT about core strength!!

I’m too busy to write much, but I want to tell you that I spent many hours dancing on my toes this weekend and completely pulled into the posture. I haven’t been to a Scottish workshop/dance like that in several years and was astonished to realize how strong I’ve become! Much stronger than in my forties, perhaps even my thirties. I owe it all to good food and the studio work. I don’t suppose I would’ve gone to this extreme (ww.com) if I didn’t know I was right from the beginning, but it’s a delight to experience unshakable, visceral proof. My prolapse was nowhere to be found afterward and is still high even after standing on the tile floor of my sewing room all day.
