On all fours.....

I saw this mentioned here some time ago. Is this an exercise or a posture? Does being on all fours provide relief to discomfort from prolapse or cele's? Is this something new in the second edition? Do not recall reading this in the first edition. I do know that it feels comfortable to be in that position whether doing a yoga pose or a floor exercise. But is it recommended or helpful in some way other than that? What is the experience of those here?

I just like the position, everything feels safely where it should be. I crawl around like that when picking up a room full of toys so I don't have to constantly bend over.
I also find it helpful in just giving my body a rest, taking a break from gravity. just for a moment or two here and there.
aside from that, its been recommended for helping to fully empty the bladder.
