When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hi Tiddbits,
I am getting a VERY strong reaction to these comments from your Dr!!!
I have NEVER heard of such a thing, and while I am most certainly not a physician, I couldn't even imagine how a rectocele would cause cancer. Why or how could it? Cancer of what? Based on that reasoning, anyone with slightly saggy parts is at risk of "cancer"??
GRRRR, this makes me mad, really mad. I think personally that it is some wierd ploy to make you get the surgery, though why this particular Dr would be so invested in that I have no idea. Excuse my angst but honestly!!! :)

uh...huh?
yeah, i'm with ukmummy here. i have NEVER heard that uttered by any doctor I'VE encountered and, as my gyn is really quite pro -surgery, i do think if she could have laid that one on me in good conscience, she would have.
tiddbits, look around the site here and get comfortable with what's going on with your body. draw your own conclusions with it. however, again, let me reiterate that i've NEVER come across that ever before and i would really have to wonder what is on this doctor's agenda.
take care of yourself and please, PLEASE, try to put that thought aside to focus on the ways you can help yourself.

grasping at straws
Sounds like a mighty hungry doctor to me. This is why I feel it’s critical that women have a basic working knowledge of the processes and anatomy of prolapse. When it is common knowledge that prolapse won’t cause your uterus to fall down around your knees, and that suspending the vagina to the spine definitely carries serious, long-term consequences, no longer will doctors be able to get away with telling bold faced lies.
And Sue...you've become quite the text-messenger...what in the world (if it can be uttered) is FCOL???

Find a new Dr.
Hi Tidbits:
I just read your post and I was completely floored! Your dr. sounds like a great big bully or perhaps not well read. I have never, NEVER heard or read anywhere that haveing a rectocele could cause cancer.
If you feel the need, go for another opinion. I can assure you as have others before me, it won't cause cancer.

Thanks for the encouragement. Things didn't sound right to me, either. I am very interested in learning natural methods for controling this rectocele. Surgery does not interest me as a choice.
Diet options offered here have been flaxseed water for maintaining soft bowel movements, copious amounts of papaya in the diet, and plenty of water. No red meat, no fats, sugar, citric, nor spicy condiments. Does this sound about right?
I am new to the website, and perhaps my questions are exploratory. Thanks for the in-put.

I eat spices and citrus and it doesn't seem to bother my rectocele. Some here don't eat wheat- but wheat doesn't bother me either. I don't eat meat and I do eat organic and I eat tonz of fruits and veges and beans.
On the cancer topic.....I was racking my brain to come up with a reason rectocele could cause cancer. Here is what I thought- anytime the body has to heal there is a potential for growth of abnormal cells- but that potential is there everyday all day long and in all parts of the body- so maybe he isn't a total moron (probably is though). Although more acute trauma (surgery) would require quite a bit more healing......
I like how you worded your response to Surgery- Surgery does not interest me as a choice. I feel just like that - do I want to get better? YES
but so far the surgery seems to be the worst option out there.
