When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

tampons
Peony,
I experienced this after the birth of my now seven year old and I believe after her birth I had begun to prolapse--I was dx in December 2006 with a grade two cystcocele & rectocele after my last baby who is almost 5 months now. I never heard of prolapse until my DX in December so I didn't realize until then and looking backwards that the slipping tampons, difficulty with bowel movements etc. I had exeperienced over the years after my 7 yr old was born was prolapse--very slight though and so if those are your symptoms you may have a slight prolapse and with Christine's excersizes, a diet that keeps your bowel moving and light--lively! and of course the posture, wearing clothes that do not push your organs out will probably help you to no end!! I actually finally knew something was wrong when I was doing stomach crunches and the bladder presented it itself into the vaginal area...I KNEW that was wrong!!
Looking back now slipping tampons was a sign & I just didn't have the knowledge to know it was prolapse...
Post partum is up to two years so even that could disappear for you. I am so called grade two and as long as I keep my bowel okay I do not have ANY signs of prolapse that I can notice all day long at this point. When I started here I was bulgy all day every day and now almost 4 months later I never physically notice anything.
Even yesterday I did a ton of heavy cleaning--up and down scrubbing like a maniac (tried to get the oven clean!!) I felt fine and just a few months ago I would felt so bulgy doing anything I would have been crabby and ready to lie down after dinner...instead we went shoe shopping!! I am 42 and have had improvement so I am really hopeful!
I know this isn't discussed a lot but I think clothing is hugely important. I think you can do damage with tight clothing. The minute I put on a pair of jeans that are just slightly restricting I bulge since I prolapsed. I think that even though for years and years I didn't feel bulgy--the tight things were still pushing things down--whether I 'felt' it or not...!

tampons
yes to everything therese said
and also, I found that the OB tampons worked alot better for me than the regular tampax type after I developed my 'celes. they are smaller and easier to position so you can put it in at any angle making it less likely to slip out.
