anyone have this????

Body:

so for the second time in 6 years I am having a period. I am able to wear a tampon with no problem (well sort of-it just goes right in and then the rectocele pops out underneath it and hold it up in there- put after a while the pressure on the rectocele from the tampon is unbearable and I remove it).
Here is the thing: I had a feel around- which I haven't done in a while and here is what I found.......my rectocele starts in the right hand side of the back wall- if the middle of the pubic bone is 12 on a clock then my rectocele starts at 6 and goes to 3.
another way to explain: it starts in the middle of the back wall way down low and travels around the side wall.

How weird it that?

My understanding about rectoceles is that they present along the back wall and go up and down.

I don't know anything about a side wall faliure- well except maybe a vaginal vault which I certianly do not have.

What is going on with me?

mine is like that, but on the left. its definitely weird. I try not to think of it as any weirder than your average run of the mill rectocele.

It just seems like that's just where it is.

Hi Alemama

I didn't notice it so much with the recocele. What I did notice was that my cervix used to be to the left, so it tried to sneak out, past my rectocele and or cystocele, and it bothered me because I would get internal rubbing on the left. I did a fair bit of strenuous exercise in the garden last winter and spring, and my uterus seemed to descend over that period, and has remained about 1cm inside the introitus, but the rubbing has gone away, and it no longer tries to peek. It feels much better, and overall my prolapses are behaving much better now they have all come down. Nature's pessary again?

I am not sure whether you will take that as good news or bad news, but it has been good for me, and I don't feel scared by it. Wierd!

Cheers

Louise
