When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

oh my goodness
This sounds miserable. What are you going to do?
Are you still having yeast?
Are the meds for other pain or for the pain of the yeast? or of the prolapse?
You are certainly in a rough place. And yet you still manage to have a sense of humor.
Have you done the alternative treatments for yeast and immune function improvement? do you visit a chronic pain support group? Living with chronic pain is enough stress to cause lower immune function.
How is your prolapse?

I'm so sorry you're going
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I too am a chronic pain patient and I know the utter frustration you are under.
The hydrocodone plus ibuprofen is a very good weapon against chronic pain; I am assuming you're taking the oral pills? It's a bit unclear if those are being compounded with lidocaine in the cream (I have never heard of topical application of hydrocodone/ibuprofen).
But remember, hydrocodone dries out ALL your mucus membranes, including vaginal tissue. I understand you have found that this combination seems to help the most, but could it be a vicious cycle where the hydrocodone is drying your tissues, causing pain, causing you to take it, which dries the tissues, and so on? Could you test this by stopping the hydrocodone for a few weeks to see if things improve?
If you are taking it for other pain, (back, etc.) an alternative might be an implanted morphine pump. Or you could try tramadol (Ultram) which is a mild narcotic painkiller but which may not dry you out as much. If it were me, I would also be sure to be seeing a very good chiropractor and a massage therapist. Skeletal and muscle pain responds very well to this combination..... the only problem is cost however, so personally I use these things as much as I can afford them, then use pharmaceuticals as necessary.
Unless you have a history of substance addiction, do not worry about becoming a "certifiable addict". There is a very big difference between true addiction, and the simple physical dependence that anyone gets if you use an opioid daily. Don't let all the media hype about "addiction to prescription pain pills" scare you off. If you find you "need" them because of withdrawal discomfort if you don't take them, that doesn't mean you're a drug addict, it simply means you need to wean down slowly, NEVER suddenly. You are not an addict if your functional life is improved, not harmed, by narcotic use, if you don't exceed the prescribed dose, if you don't do end runs around your doctor to obtain more than he prescribes, and you have no trouble slowly weaning off them when you no longer need them for pain. There is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding out there about opiate use, and a lot of damage being done to chronic pain patients who are falsely accused of being "drug seekers".
Like any other drug, opiates have good uses, and some bad side effects. As I said, one of the main side effects is drying out of mucus membranes. You may notice dry mouth, possibly dry eyes, maybe constipation (caused by drying inside your colon), and possibly vaginal pain might be the only symptom of a drying of those tissues too.
That is only one possibility to consider. With my chronic pain problems, I find the best success using a multi-dimensional approach. Also deep and persistent sleuthing. The doctors never have the time to sort out a mysterious problem like I do, when I'm the one suffering it.

re:my burning pain
Never know how to place these. Thanks for info re:hydro. Ihave had to take smal amounts of hydro fo some time. Never had any signs of dry mucus or constipation. Imake sure I take mag. citrate. I'm on limited time computer at library but wanted to check in. I only use lidocaine topically. I was luckly to find Dr. knowing any thing. I have to get fefferal one at a time. They still don't know what is the whole problem, and I provided history that helped any Dx.The POPseems more obvious, and seems to make situation worse. This Dr. saw small amount of yeast and provided one pill.Iunderstand there can be different kinds of yeast also, was not tested for that. The some bump I felt that reacted to the esterol cream she said was a cystbut we didn't continue the conversation.Like sorryyour time is up-bye bye.Sorry about the spelling but in hurry and don't do computers well. The ibuprofen upsets stomach but some times seems to have more effect, does it have drying effect? However hydro at this point does kick in fast and calms me down.I'm wanting to find resourses. Not having a computer is not a help. Also want to leave this state, but aside from $ need to know limitations and I only have 2 dogs in my life. Time is almost up at library. If something open tomorrow will check site again. Need to keep informed anyway. Thanks,Pat

No, the ibuprofen should not
No, the ibuprofen should not have a drying effect but it does tend to upset the stomach. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory. Hydrocodone is just a brute force pain killer. If you think the ibuprofen helps then you may have an inflammatory process. There are all sorts of things that can cause burning pain in that area. It is too bad your doctor doesn't seem to want to spend much time with you. It certainly is daunting not to have a computer; that is the window to the world for me. Maybe, if the doctor did not test for yeast you could go back and tell them the problem is not gone. Sometimes doctors won't order tests the first time around, but if you return with the same problem then they escalate the investigation.
