When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

RE: new rectocele
Granolamom, there is really no way at this point to create any kind of bell curve to understand what is normal and what is not. You are not the first one who has written in with finding the rectocele after the cystocele, and it is my belief that yours is probably the most typical kind of prolapse. Of course, none of prolapse is really "normal", and there is no doubt in my mind that these conditions would hardly exist if we were not living in the modern world. However, after a lifetime of being forced into unnatural postures (not the least of which is straining on the toilet), I think that the most common prolapse that shows up is this mild cystocele/rectocele with a slightly prolapsed uterus behind.
All I can hope for you is that with your doctor's permission you will keep pulling yourself into the posture. Honor your belly and let it relax out and over your pubic bone. I know you know this, but I will say it again...it is not a flopping out of the belly, but a proud holding. With the belly and butt in opposition and the head and neck pulling up the rest of the spine, the body is in perfect tension. This pulls the vagina/rectum horizontally towards the back and presses the uterus and bladder down and forward over the pubic bone where they belong.
These are chronic conditions but ones that can be improved dramatically through posture. The settling out that has occurred in your case in my view seems to have brought you to the healthy "normal" that is representative of an overwhelming majority of prolapsed cases. Let the rectocele be a constant reminder to pay attention to your body.
Please let us know how you do, granolamom, as everyone's contribution to this prolapse map is vitally important.

RE: new rectocele
christine, as always you are a source of comfort and inspiration. I believe that I do have the posture down pat, in fact I no longer remember how to stand any other way. I was just not expecting to have to deal with new prolapses.
I have not yet seem my midwife regarding my prolapse but I am sure she would 'give me her permission' as you put it, to continue with this program as it is the only prolapse protocol that makes sense and has any positive outcome.
I will now go back to archives and reread all posts regarding rectoceles.
thanks to all the brave women here who share their experiences thus supporting one another. I'd probably be in a surgeon's hands if it weren't for all of you.
