So do I get to keep my recliner?

Body:

So, I have this question!
Do I get to continue working (on the computer) in my husband's recliner?
I'm sure I'll soon learn how to sit for my own good health, but since dealing with fibromyalgia fatigue (years) I have favored a recliner over all other means of sitting.
Just tell me, I can take it!
Thanks

Daphne, I am not going to tell you whether you can or cannot. Once you understand the principles, and are prepared to act to support your body the decision on how or where you do things will make itself each time.

If you think of the aim as having gravity not act straight down your vagina, then it is simply a matter of tilting the recliner back far enough so that gravity acts through your tailbone or spine. It is ideal to have your pelvic organs tilted forward and resting on the lower abdominal wall, and having gravity reinforcing this position as much as possible , but if the direction of gravity is not giving you symptoms then there is no problem.

Now, if you had a bad cough, I would be discouraging you from coughing while lying back in the recliner.

POP does not exist in a vacuum. It is only one set of things that happens to any of us. We have to compromise in lots of ways through life. That's just the way life works. I am sure you will figure out a way to give your body the best deal you can. Good luck to you.
