Stage 1 cystocele

I am feeling frustrated and alone. I have stage 1 cyctocele according to my GYN, I am 61 have had four children ages 43, 30, 28 & 26. Have not had a period for over 5 years. The bulge started to present itself over a year ago every now and then. I find I am pushing it back up about once a day or every other day at present. No incontinence. What is the best course of action? Will a pessary help? I am on my feet for 7 hours a day at work!

Sure, you can improve it yourself. Try adjusting your posture so that your pelvic organs are carried further forward in your body. By lifting your chest, and keeping your belly relaxed your pelvis will tilt forward slightly, and your pelvic organs will lean against your lower abdominal wall, rather than backwards over your vagina. Have a look at excerpts from the DVDs on Youtube, wholewomaninc channel.

Welcome here. So sorry you are feeling alone. I know what you mean when you say that- but there are a great many more women with prolapse than you would think. Consider that prolapse surgery is performed day in and day out all over the US. You've been managing on your own for a year- but you've got us now.
A pessary may help a great deal or it may just be an annoyance. You won't know until you try :)
Maybe a sea sponge will do it for you and you won't have to bother with a pessary.
