New Yoga DVD

Body:

First of all, my many, many thanks to Christine and all of you wonderful gals. The exercise DVD, the book, the posture and all of your forum information is really working. I have been doing all of the above (religiously and daily)since the end of June. I know my cystocele - stage 2 is still there, but I believe it has definitely moved forward, and I am not bothered by it as much. I want to order the new Yoga DVD, but I have a question. Should I be doing the old Yoga DVD for awhile, before starting with the new Yoga DVD? I am a beginner with Yoga, and I am not very flexible. I didn't have any trouble with the exercise DVD, and I still do it every day. I need a little more, though. I plan to also order the cookbook. In spite of my 72 years, you can "teach an old dog new tricks".

Hello!
I want to try the yoga videos also and am not sure which to buy as I know NOTHING of yoga. I have the prolapse exercise video and have been doing them for about two weeks. I am still not very limber so am wondering if I should buy the first one and them go on to the second? Not sure what a wheel is. I watched the short on the videos but am still clueless. I am 56 with a cystocele that I think the doctor said was a 3 but have gone into a little denial and do not want to know!!!!
About yoga, I cannot believe how unlimber I am--how long does it take to loosen up??!!
Thank you!

Hi Jerseygal and Reborn,

Jerseygal, how great to hear of your progress! These are the "case studies" we need to be talking with our caregivers about every chance we get.

Reborn, a bit of denial might be a good thing while encouraging your body to stabilize or reverse your symptoms. ;)

We need more data from women before making too many generalizations about the dvds. WWY2 (the new one) features my daughter doing the exercise program. It is a lovely program that includes bellydance-type hip moves that have not historically been part of WW exercise, but that are very beneficial for keeping the hips and spine flexible.

Both programs certainly have their challenges, which is what the WW work is all about. We must be strong and flexible to maintain WW posture for the long term and these exercises were designed toward that aim. Women can also pick and choose the exercises that suit them best and create their own program.

It's not unusual to see women in their eighties doing yoga, much of which depends on motivation and attitude.

Have fun!

Christine

Christine, Thank you for responding so quickly. Today, I spoke to Dinah on the telephone. I ordered the Yoga - Second Wheel. I love the DVD Exercise Tape, and I am sure I will also love the Yoga tape as well. Please keep these tapes coming. I am also waiting to get your cookbook, which Dinah said is not in stock right now. My legs feel stronger and more muscular than ever. The exercise is wonderful as an overall strength for the body.

Thanks, again.

Hi reborn,

The wheel refers, I think, to a chakra. There are seven major chakras and they "spin" like a wheel.
