How does this approach jive with Christine's?

Body:

Is anyone familiar with this site and the approach to dealing with women's pelvic issues? I am curious as to how this approach jives with Christines. I don't want to do something to undo what I've done so far with the WW Workout and posture. Comments appreciated.

Here's the link: www.pelvicexercises.com

Thanks.

Cecilly, I copied/pasted that link and it just went to another site with some searches on it. It didn't look like the domain name was "taken" yet.

Oops...here's the link that should take you to the right site...

Well, for starters, I think their diagram of the pelvic organs and pelvic "floor" would give Christine a good laugh.....

Looks to be predominantly focused on kegels. Can't see anything about posture there. So I guess it's a case of "do I do kegels along with Christine's work or not?" I'm not sure I've fully resolved this question myself, although I'm no longer doing kegels daily and I'm not noticing any weakening of muscles.

So the answer is perhaps practise kegels in WW posture if you feel kegels are working for you...but in WW posture it will feel like there is less movement of the pelvic floor, because the PF muscles are already more taut than they would be in a more tucked-in posture.

The story about the mesh gone wrong was not very nice to read...but certainly effective in once again affirming my decision to avoid surgery of any sort if possible.

Looking at that site made me once again realise how glad I am to have found this WW site and also how much I detest kegels!

The points on the page below appear to be fairly straightforward and not in opposition to WW posture/work (except maybe the "feet close together bit):

But still, no mention of prolapse being a postural issue.

Support underwear - anyone tried that?

As a novice with rudimentary understanding of the ww concept, my initial reaction to that website is- they can't offer me anything if their understanding of basic female anatomy and pelvic 'floor' is that of the the incorrect, traditional paradigm.

And the support underwear don't look as though they would allow the lower belly enough slope so that that the bladder and uterus can be fairly comfortable nestled inside.
