It's a girl!

Body:

After a VERY LONG INHUMANLY HOT SUMMER, a healthy girl is born via vaginal delivery (had one fibroid and ovarian cyst removed last year and midwifes scared me with a c-section possibility). The birth took place in the hospital environment, but I did my homework an was super prepared to decline and justify most of the medical interventions that were on the hospital's menu. I was also lucky to have my husband there and a super awesome nurse, that was more like a midwife.
As far as the situation "down there" goes, I'm not quiet sure yet, I am just too scared to look :-) I had some stitches from the tearing. I think, the time will tell. In general, I'm feeling good and just happy the pregnancy is over and more happy to have my bundle of joy in my arms.
Very tired, but very Happy Mama
P.S. Don't let anybody discourage you from giving the birth vaginally if you are up for it! It's not over until it's over!

That's wonderful news that you have posted so soon after having your beautiful daughter and that you are in good spirits . Well done preparing so well , I'm so pleased for you . Take it easy and rest now love and best wishes to you and your family .

So lovely to read this post.....Wow ! I am so happy for you. It sounds so perfect....what a job you did with all of this in being so prepared. Much love to you and your family and your little beauty girl.

for you Happymama. Glad things went well. Ouch, for the stitches. You are sounding very triumphant and rightly so; a job well done. Hello Happymama's daughter, welcome into the world.

Just celebrated the fourth birthday of my big boy, born 11/9. Congratulations!!!!

Congrats to you both - Happy Mama and Bad Mirror! I love babes and I love these milestones. I agree Mama - don't bother to "look" (I've always been against obsessing over the appearance of the v, especially right after birthing - that's asking for it!!). Keep your focus on your little one for now (taking best possible care of yourself in the process). The roller-coaster of PP recovery has left the station! Keep us posted - Surviving

Congratulations on your birthing and how special to have a little baby girl. I hope you can breastfeed her for a healthy two of you. All the Best.

Hi Happy Mama,
Well done you! Many congratulations! Wishing you all the best.
Lots of love, xwholewomanuk

Thank you ladies for wishing well!
@discouraged - we are all about breastfeeding around here! I bf my oldest daughter until she was 3,5 yo. I've lost all my baby weight already - 2 month pp, thanks to breastfeeding (no good genes here:-))!
Still not brave enough to check down there, but feeling well and in good spirits. Sometimes, after many hours of carrying my 10 pound baby around, I feel something, but no big complaints. Just got my 15 feet baby wrap today, I hope it will benefit to keep my posture right!
Hugs!
Happy mama

Well done, sticking up for what you believed was possible. Your story is now another success for others to read about. You have two full years for your body to revert after the pregnancy. Don't worry. The histories of millions of women all over the world will tell you that you might feel a bit uncertain now, but you will be a heap better in twelve months, even if you do experience the typical 3 mo to 6 mo postpartum worsening, which seems to precede the 'real' reversion in the second half of the first year pp.

Louise.

Hi Happymama - Once you figure out how to wear that baby on your body, it should be prolapse-friendly. If you are in correct posture, extra weight actually helps to maintain the vagina as a closed space. Christine calls this "weight-loading from above". I notice it when I have lots of stuff to carry using my various shoulder-strap bags. If I take the time to arrange stuff before I start walking, my prolapse feels quite fine. If I just grab stuff and go, I feel things pushing down. - Surviving
