A touch of PollyAnna

Body:

For maybe the last ten Christmases, my extended family has decided to make charitable contributions in lieu of gifts for the adults. I just finished making my donation in my family's honor designated to the promotion of a "healthy home" for those in need around the world. Prolapse can be devastating. I get that. But, take a minute to consider how great we all have it -- toilets that flush to appropriate sewer lines, clean water from any of several taps in our home, refrigerators and freezers to keep our food from spoiling, washing machines to keep our clothes clean, hot showers to keep our bodies clean, windows and doors to keep out dirt and pests, shoes on our feet, carpet or wood underfoot, a soft bed under a roof that doesn't leak. Enjoy your own healthy home this Holiday Season!

Thanks bad_mirror for the reminder. That's such a great way to do the holidays! Congrats to you and your family for embarking on this and sticking to it!

We all know how devastating the early days of prolapse can be. I'm grateful to WW for letting me get beyond it, and back in touch with the larger world around me. This is what I wish for all the women who come here in pain and unable to see beyond the moment.

Happy holidays to all of my sisters here - Surviving

Made some donations: World Bicycle Relief, Heifer International, and an Autism organization in memory of Karen DeFelice.

Very important to keep our lives in perspective.

Happy Holidays. May you stay in posture always and forever.

Yes, it is good and proper to remember the good and blessed parts of our lives. Many are worse off in many different ways. Happy holidays to all of you as well.

During your charitable donation time! I know it's not tax deductible, but still worthy as all get out.
