Intro and question about program

Body:

I am new here and here is intro. 61 years young. Cervical prolapse. First child: forcep delivery. Child #2 & #3: C-section/twins and 16.2 lbs worth of babies so you know I was carrying a heavy load and went full term. Ovaries gone. Tummy tuck to remove lots of twin skin. Also I might have fecal incontinence…mostly cannot hold it…which is my worst problem. This fecal stuff developed about 5 maybe 6 years ago but never mattered because I went once per day early morning clockwork. Fast forward to development of food intolerances (BM many times per day) and my life is not my own…it belongs to my back end.

So am I a candidate for the Basic Course? My girlie bits when I am on my feet a lot (pretty active and not a sitter) hang down/bulge out vaginally. If I am hiking with no one around except hubby, I just shove them back up which doesn’t last long at all… Really don’t want surgery as I have had enough of that for a lifetime. Just getting into reading the website now. Going to a women’s physical therapist would cost me $200+ out of pocket (none in plan) so it is worth a gamble. I have no pain, just annoyance.

Hi Stillyoung and welcome to WW. Virtually every woman will benefit from the Whole Woman work, and certainly you. How much improvement you can see, depends on a number of factors. A tummy tuck is a very damaging procedure. The posture is based on a relaxed lower belly which allows space for the organs to be held forward, pinned in place over the pubic bones by gravity and proper breathing. I started this work at age 60 and have been able to restore enough lower lumbar curvature to make this happen. You can too, but the surgery you've had will surely be a factor.

You have your cervix, but no ovaries......do you have your uterus?

I haven't heard of fecal incontinence being caused by prolapse, but it can be caused by some of the surgeries women are offered to "repair" a prolapse. So if you have given us your complete surgical history, I'm not sure what to say about that. I used to have a very sensitive system which has quieted down considerably following some major dietary changes (ditching gluten, dairy, sugar) but this is an individual thing; you should try to isolate and avoid those things that cause you the most trouble. - Surviving
