Vascular anatomy, leg swelling - question for Christine

I'm thinking about pelvic vasculature as a suspect for my left leg edema. I've had chronic swelling of the left leg for 4 or 5 years and they cannot tell me why. They cannot even tell me if it is lymph insufficiency or venous insufficiency. I've had basic tests covering the acute bad stuff, and they ruled it all out. (Kidneys, heart, liver, DVT, tumors, etc.)

stressed and worried

Hello I am Alicia . I have a blader prolapse. I have told to do the kegal exersise. It is making this sress incontince worse. Before I started doing these i had urge incontitnce, and a bit of stress incontince. Does the exercise work for a bladder prolaspe. I found that I cant stand for more than5 min before wetting my pants not just a bit ,I cant control it.. I have been told that If the exercise dont work I will have to have the bladder and pevic floor repaired or have a hysterectomy. Which one would be the best.

Welcome ... we're glad you're here!

Rooibos 'tea'

Ever heard of rooibos 'tea'? It has no caffeine and apparently has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties (search pubmed.com for scientific articles). I have been drinking it for a while for the taste (ignoring the properties) and find it very good. I just read that it can help manage hay fever, that would be great!

why the leaks?

Hi, all:

"Sister Cele" and I enjoyed a lovely trip to London in June. She behaved herself quite well, though by the end of a day of me pounding the sidewalks sightseeing she felt a little droopy sometimes. While flying, with the usual getting up and down and walking to the loo (love that term) on the airplane (who can sleep, anyway?), no urinary incidents occurred.

Tip to encourage elimination

Hi all

My physio gave me this tip (not much else apart from standard pelvic floor exercises and an ill-placed tampon pessary) and she also gave me the literature that explained it so I kind of got it.

Basically there is a muscle or nerve or something (sorry my anatomy is totally bad) in the sphincter linked to a muscle in the lungs.

SIJ Dysfunction

I am recovering from dislocating my sacroiliac joint last Sunday. Prior to bending slightly forward and then feeling the Crunch - and the OMG, I can’t stand up!...I had spent many successive days sitting crosslegged at my computer. Crosslegged is a very good position if you are vigilant about pulling up into the posture as much as possible. However, it is also easy after hours of typing to let the lumbar curve straighten. I believe this, followed by a mad and perhaps mindless dash to clean my house, caused the event.

Tearing/Episiotomy vs. Stretching...different healing potentials?

Hello again, back with another question for all you experienced ladies!

A brief refresher, I am almost 11 weeks pp with a mild uterine prolapse and even milder cystocele (according to the last doctor I saw). I am 27, only had one baby (a little sweetheart!), but had a ridiculously long (30 hours), tough labor. We're talking several hours of pushing, vacuum delivery, episiotomy, tearing, etc.

WW SIJ BELT RECALL

Dear Members,

I am sorry to report that all the SIJ belts we have sent out to you were the wrong design. The mistake was entirely mine as once I settled on the right belt, I reordered - all the wrong style. We never saw the error because they were simply sent out in their original packaging from our shipping desk.

Nikelle is going back through all our orders since May to find the belt orders. We will not ask anyone to return their belt, but will ship out the right belts as soon as we receive them from the manufacturer.

I so apologize for the mixup.

confused re:endopelvic fascia

Does the endopelvic fascia stretch or not .I'm so tired of conflicting info . This Pelvic Pain .org site witch is THE site for the big wigs in pelvic pain has lot of info and seems supported. When you go to site and go to news, I think, and click vol 14 no 1. It explains the breaks in pelvic relaxation. Some material sounds like Christine's work and then it goes indifferent direction.
