Is Hula Hoop good or bad for POP

I think it is more appropriate to create a new topic on this subject. Sorry for the duplication.

This is a question for Christine.
In addition to Christine's First Aid for Prolapse and Yoga wheels. I use this tool:
Sports Hoop, Large, Weighted Hula Hoop for my daily workout, and wonder if this is good or bad for my prolapse problem.

Another question regarding exercising with Rectocele

I have a long standing back problem as well as my rectocele. I had a prolapsed disc L3/L4 which has now healed but I do suffer form occasional lower back pain and also pain in my trapezius muscle up into my neck which is the one that bothers me the most.

Having listened to Christine's video I suspect some of my upper back pain may be due to my posture which I am now trying to rectify along with the correct toileting positioning.

Osteopaths, physios are always wanting me to do Pilates which aggravated it and I stopped doing them.

Food and sleep questions

I am a couple weeks into my recovery and about 15 weeks postpartum with my third child. I am just starting to feel some positive differences in my rectocele after about three weeks of focus on my diet and posture. A few newbie questions:

- what is the best position for sleep?

Alternative Meds?

Hi All, I just want to ask if anyone ever tried using medical cannabis as an alternative meds? I have read many articles about medical marijuana and how it can help you in terms of chronic pain, glaucoma, eating disorder/anorexia, anxiety disorders and panic attacks, inflammation, even cancer and a lot more. Like this article about chronic pain and marijuana from [link removed]. Cbd and thc are also new to me and I don't even smoke. If this is true I cant find any solid conclusive evidence that speaks to its efficacy. Any personal experience or testimonial would be highly appreciated.

Undiagnosed rectocele

Hi guys !
I had my little boy 15 months ago. It was a long delivery (40 hours). I had suction and forceps. A few of my stitches burst after having my son due to severe swelling.

Apart from piles everything was going fine untill a few weeks ago. I was passing a bowl movement when I noticed something bulging out from my pelvic floor muscle (sorry for being over descriptive). It comes out through the back passage and the vagina.

Rectocele

I have a 3cm rectocele with intussuception stage 3 diagnosed on proctogram.

I am in the Uk and discovered this site last week.

I am under a teaching hospital with a specialist unit.

They had taught me to splint which I haven't liked a great deal.

I got the posture video and toileting video which I have found very helpful, but like one of the other ladies on the forum I had to splint as well, wasn't too sure about the posture but have read Christine's comment so think I understand now.

Fire Breathing

Forum:

A couple of years ago I bought the book and cd about curing vaginal prolapse - then moved house and in the chaos which ensued, I lost (misplaced?) them but rather than buy them again, wondered if anybody could remind me how to do the Firebreathing exercise as I recall it was quite successful?

Research & Raising Awareness on Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Hi ladies!! :)
WE NEED YOU! As part of our Masters dissertation research, we are interested in looking at the impact of periods on women’s quality of life, emotions, coping strategies and help-seeking behaviour.

The research will be used to develop ways of raising awareness about heavy periods and other period problems. We need as many women as possible over the age of 18 (who are having periods e.g. not pregnant/post-menopausal) to take our 20 minute survey please!!

Feeling broken

Hi. I'm new here and this is my first time posting. I haven't been diagnosed yet (actually have an appt tomorrow) but I'm certain I'm dealing with prolapse and I think it's pretty severe. It came out of nowhere. I'm only 38 and at the moment I'm in real despair wondering how I will manage this for the rest of my life?? I know doctors jump to pessaries and surgery right away and I'm so scared. I have two little girls, just 2 and 7. Is a pessary helpful despite the risks with it? What are the thoughts here on physical therapy? I'm feeling so lost, confused and panicked.

Intro and question about program

I am new here and here is intro. 61 years young. Cervical prolapse. First child: forcep delivery. Child #2 & #3: C-section/twins and 16.2 lbs worth of babies so you know I was carrying a heavy load and went full term. Ovaries gone. Tummy tuck to remove lots of twin skin. Also I might have fecal incontinence…mostly cannot hold it…which is my worst problem. This fecal stuff developed about 5 maybe 6 years ago but never mattered because I went once per day early morning clockwork.
