Can I use a backpack or front pack with my baby ?

Hi

I have a seven month old baby and a prolapse that I am too terrified to go and see the doctor about. We live and work on a large rural property and so being able to get out and about with baby is now very important. Prior to having our baby I purchased an excellent back pack designed for tramping/walking for babies upwards of 5 months. I have used this several times walking around hills for approximately 2 hours each time and really loved it. However the last time I used it was when I first felt my prolapse happen. Whether the prolapse was there before this or not I do not know.
The combined weight of the baby and back pack would be approx 9kg. Do I now have to give up using the back pack to allow my prolapse to heal ?, will using the back pack make the prolapse worse, or will it help as I become fitter ?. Can anyone tell me if I start using this back pack again will my insides fall 'outside'.

varicose veins

A bit off topic here but does anyone here have any experience with varicose veins within the labia? I have had one since the delivery of my baby, and although it hasn't caused me any problems until now, it seems worse the past few days. Are varicose veins something which can be safely treated, or are they like prolapse, something which cannot easily be resolved?

I would so appreciate any information!

Thank you.

Severe Cystocele-stories wanted

Hi, I am new here. I have been reading extensively online and offline and have read many stories of healing by woman with uterine prolapse, but never any of woman with my condition. So I have come here looking for stories of hope. I am (was) a very active 40yo mom of 5. I am only 119lbs. and used to walk and jog often on the many trails by our home. I am an avid gardener, trying to supply our family with organic food at low cost. I often carried 45lb. bags of manure with a 25lb. baby on my back down a hill to the garden. That was probably my downfall. Now I have a severe cystocele, but no other prolapse. My bladder seems to not be connected much to my body at all as when I am in different exercise positions it "flops" around and sometimes gets into a position where I am unable to urinate. I then try to move it by hand. OK, I am willing to live with this, if it is possible, but I would love to hear stories of hope if anyone was ever this bad and got better. Other than the difficulty peeing and the bulging/heaviness, I have no other complaints.

I think I know what helped

I posted on someone's thread that despite being so sick with this pregnancy and not eating well, I wasn't feeling my prolapse as much. I thought it was the pregnancy.

After a few days I started to feel worse again so I tried to think about what was different. I realized that when I was so sick I ate a lot of unhealthy food but no meat because it really turned me off. Then I started to feel better and was eating some meat again.

I am really starting to think that meat makes my rectocele feel way worse. I had tried no dairy, no wheat/gluten, lots of fruits and veggies etc. and nothing helped but I never tried no meat. I am really hoping that this could make the big difference for me. The weird part is that chicken always seems to make me feel way worse the next day but not red meat??? I thought it would be the other way around.

Whole Woman Diet question

Christine,
I have a rectocele AND an anal fissure. Every time I back up I break the fissure open. I'm still breastfeeding so the one medicine i've been recommended to help with the fissure, I can't take. Is this diet good for smooth bowel movements? Or is it more based on healthy eating in general.
How would following your book help a rectocele? (and while I'm asking all these questions, how does the posture help with a rectocele?) I've now had the fissure for 14 months and finally figured out that the rectocele is part of the problem. My goal is to have smooth bowels, with not 1 bad day for at least 8 weeks in a row. I still find that without miralax, I can't guarantee that. So that's why I want to know more about your diet book.

Rectocele Causes Cancer?

I was just told by a doctor that if I did not have surgery for a rectocele, I could get cancer because of the stress upon that part of the body. Who can help me with factual information about this?

I just found out about having a rectocele (after complaining about rectal pressure and painful sex) and all this information is new to me. I am currently overseas in South America and cannot get the book until we are back in the States in May. The natural treatments I have seen deal with losing excess weight (I have lost 12 kilos so far), exercise that support the pelvic floor, and eating fiber-wise.

I have to tell you ladies!

Oh my gosh, so I have to tell you this. Its kind of funny, and kind of sad. So as you all know I havent had sex it about 8 months. So last night I figured I would give it a try, since you all had convinced me it would be ok. And I have to tell you, I never noticed one prolapse at all. You guys were so right! The sad thing is, my hubby seems to have some issues with keeping it up. So it was very short lived. I think his medicines he takes is affecting that area. Maybe he needs viagra! But I am thrilled that I actually felt normal for the first time in 8 months. You guys are so wonderful for giving me the confidence and courage to give it a try. Thank you thank you

Cleaning

Ok who would think I would find out about cleaning here?
I just have to say that in the book there are recommendations for natural ways of cleaning and by gosh they work!!

I tried the vinegar today on some chrome...our water is extremely hard--I think chewable if you had a death wish and wanted to drink it..so I had places that were just simply turned brown and the vinegar cleaned it!! I was so excited!!
You know I don't get it. I have used every chemical on the shelves to try and clean that area just a bit and it was impossible even with the elbow grease I used today and yet the vinegar was like a miracle. I am so excited. I am getting the lemon juice and I am trying the baking soda and I only wish I had more time so I could do this all day for the next week.

Hi, just found out I'm pregnant, and just found out I have a prolapsed uterus. Help!

I'm a bit nervous because I've previously had 2 miscarriages and I'd really like to carry this baby to term. I'm 5 weeks, feel heavy and feel the prolapse at varying area's throughout the day. Is there anything I can do? Does bedrest for the first trimester help? I've been taking it easy, but it seems healthier to be up more to me. I've read that after the 1st trimester the risks from the prolapse go away? I'm happy to have found this site! But am still having trouble finding information about it during pregnancy. Now that I know what this is, I know that this happened with the two miscarriages because I felt all of this then but just thought it was normal pregnancy sensations.

Just read book and have some questions

I just read Christine's book, and a few questions popped into my mind. 1) When would Christine recommend using a pessary? (I've been told that I have stage 2 uterine prolapse, but don't currently feel it.) 2) I've heard there is also a video/DVD, how do I purchase this? 3) I've been doing pilates and yoga to deal with back problems unrelated to my prolapse. I'd really hate to give them up what Christine has listed on her website? Can I do an active (nonpassive) backbend? 4) I have lordosis and in the posture you are supposed to arch your lower back into its natural curve. That won't work for me since my curve would be too large. Any suggestions about this?
