Pain in the butt

This is a rectocele question...

Since adopting (or trying to) the posture a month ago I have been having more and more pain in my behind. It is not the 'normal' rectocele discomfort of pressure or heaviness but rather there is a point (and I can touch it from my vagina) that is very sore. The more I pull myself into the posture the more it hurts. That is lifting my tailbone makes it worse.

I wonder whether it is a bit of my bowel being caught in the fascia. But then I would surely be able to feel something there? It is smooth there, no hernia that I can feel. I actually started wondering whether my good doctor sewed my bowel to something (I had a tear between the two passageways) and whenever I am pulling my tailbone it tries to lift off and cannot?

Can pregnancy and birth improve prolapse symptoms?

This is a question I've been pondering for a while. It seems that a number of women have had the experience that pregnancy and birth after initial prolapse has actually improved symptoms. I also personally know a woman who has had this experience.

I'd love to hear women's experience. I discovered prolapse 1 year ago after birth of 3rd. I became pregnant again at the end of last year, but miscarried. Pondering the question...

Okay, can someone describe and explain "firebreathing"?

I read the firebreathing comment, looked in my book, but see nothing about the firebreathing. If this is something that supplements the excercises, I would love to know how. Thanks m ah

Large cervix and severe prolapse

My doctor has diagnosed me with a prolapse and she said I have a very large cervix. I am uncomfortable two weeks out of the month with the organs hanging down through the vaginal canal. I have read the book Saving the Whole Woman and I have the DVD. I have been doing the exercises(not every day)I try to do them every other day. I am trying to eat well and stay in shape but I am very discouraged. Is surgery my only true option. I am almost 48 and I have a 13 year old daughter who likes to shop. This condition is painful when standing and walking and just plain being on my feet for too long most of the month.

I need your advice about book or dvd exercises

So ladies,
Help me out here. I have been doing the exercises from the book for about a week now. It takes me about 35 min total. I received the dvd today and watched it and the exercises are totally different and from start to finish only took about 10 minutes. So my question is, what exercises are the best for me to do. I do them in the morning before work but I want to do whatever is going to be the most beneficial. I only have about 30 min. to do them. Give me your advice.

full of sh*t

another TMI question and here's how I came upon it
I have read about splinting
I have never done it before
but the thought crossed my mind that it might be helpful to support my rectocele during a BM- so I tried it
and I was shocked to find it wasn't there. Yep- it was gone no rectocele in sight- So I took out my thumb and finished up
and then checked again and there it was right where I left it.
So the question is-
Has anyone else noticed that when you are about to evacuate that you rectocele is straightened out?

Do your balls hang low-do they wobbel to an fro

Just a thought-
I was talking with a friend recently (she just found out she may have a prolapse) and she said something I thought was profound.

"Why would we expect our organs to remain high and in the same places - just because we can't see them doesn't mean they don't age- Right? I mean we all sag and wrinkle all over our bodies as we get older- our breasts our faces- why not our organs?"

you know my next question was - what about men- and we got to thinking about men and sagging and came to the conclusion that men sag too.

Can I do mountainbiking?

I am new here. I am 34 and have had 4 children. They were all vaginal, one episiotomy and forceps. My largest baby was 9lbs. One doctor told me I had a rectocele. I can feel it inside my vagina I think. I do have rectal pain and pressure. I have a lot to learn from this site, but I love to mountain bike and don't want to give it up. Opinions?

Really embarrasing question here

Ok ladies,
Here is goes. So I have a stage 2 cystocele. That seems to be my biggest problem. I just started doing the exercises a week ago and I feel pretty good during the day. I am not sexually active. But, when I self stimulate myself, my cystocele seems to come to the opening with full force. That is kinda scary to me. Is that normal for sexual arousal to case the bulge to be very pronounced. If so, how could a partner not notice it. It takes up the whole opening. Please tell me what you think.

Whole Woman Firebreathing works! so does the Posture.

I got Christine's book, and immediately began to use the "Posture"--it has been about three weeks and hard at first, and soreness in sides and back, but now do it automatically most of the time. But the firebreathing exercise has helped me so much! When I feel I have done too much, and begin to bulge (I have stage 4 cystocele) it immediately reduces the problem. I have now reduced the bulge most of the day to about 1/2 what it was. Told my GP about the exercises and the book--he is the one who wanted me to have surgery. He was very impressed--I did the firebreathing in his office to show him, and he wants the information to tell other women who are not interested in surgery.
