When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

RE: Gas & Bloating
Hi Michele,
Pay attention to the kind of grains you are eating. You may have a problem with wheat. What you are describing with the gas and bloating could be gluten intolerance. Or could just be that you aren't used to so much bulk. Maybe backup and try adding one thing at a time to see if you can figure out which ting is giving you trouble.
Peace, Karen

RE: Gas & Bloating
That's so true, Karen. Also, cooked grains need enzymes to be digested (which our body stores have to come up with if we don't), so I always fold something like ground sesame or ground almonds into my rice, millet, quinoa or what have you. It seems everyone has these symptoms when they begin a vegan diet...I think that's mostly what makes people turn back.

RE: Gas & Bloating
Hi Karen,
My favorite cookbooks of all time were Diet for a Small Planet, Deaf Smith County Cookbook and Laurel's Kitchen, none of which I've looked at in ages since I no longer eat dairy. I love Angelica Kitchen, which I have listed in Resources just cause it's such a great book. I don't use recipes and am going to put my own version of Kitchen Renegade out there hopefully within the next three weeks.
Thanks so much Karen for being here...I can't wait to meet you in person!!!

RE: Gas & Bloating
Ditto on the wheat intolerance! Out of desparation and curiosity, I decided to stop eating any gluten in my diet. (A friend had been diagnosed with that problem, and I had many of her symptoms.) After two months, all of a sudden I realized what NORMAL people felt like all the time! No more gas, bloating, and my rectum didn't itch all the time. That's when I realize that I had had a hyst NOT for symptoms of a rectocele, but because I had dietary problems!!!!!!!
NOW i've got REAL prolapse problems. sigh.
The rest of me feels great though.

what a excellent point & reaffirmation that the WHOLE person needs to be addressed. when i first discovered prolapse i was paranoid & blamed every little ache, pain, & imperfection on it. good point that it might very well just be another minor lifestyle factor,

RE: Gas & Bloating
I was beginnning to develop an intolerance to wheat some years ago. I stopped all wheat except sprouted for a few months and then gradually reintroduced only fresh ground, sifted (this leaves micro particles of bran and therefore vit&mins, but takes out the large, jagged pieces that play havoc on our intestines) flour. I am very careful to not eat it more than once every day or other day and tolerate it very well. People reactive to wheat gluten, though, would probably not even be able to do this.
