When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Dear Alemama,I have to say
Dear Alemama,
I have to say that I have been lucky gastric problems wise so far, BUT I had two horrible chest infections in the winter and totally felt like I was coughing everything out each time. Front and back were totally bulging, especially the back, in fact I posted about it. After a week or so of doing all the right things after I was better it all went back to the same as before.
I would say obviously don't strain, though I would imagine things down there are pretty much taking over in that department, squat each time, and maybe even lean forward a little if you can to position things better. (That might be quite the balancing act!) Obviously try to eat foods which wont irritate things more, though I guess you don't want to end up in a situation afterwards where you are chronically constipated either.
It is scarey when things like this happen, but like you so aptly said to Reka earlier, our organs are so very mobile within the pelvis. I don't think these things do as much damage as we fear most of the time! xx

ugh!
oh mama!
so sorry to hear you're not feeling well.
okay. i'm assuming we're talking a serious case of the runs here, yes?
i know this sounds a bit nuts, but do you have a bed pan sort of thing that you could put on the ground and then sort of kneel over to go to the bathroom? thinking you could put your shins along side the sides of the bedpan when you go, maybe even lean forward a bit on your hands just to keep pressure off your rectum? again, know that sounds a bit nuts, but it might make you feel somewhat better, as though your pelvic organs were being a bit more supported. i had a stomach virus a couple of months back and was throwing up -- i asked how to handle it here as well, and christine suggested being on all fours when i threw up which actually worked and kept the pressure off my pelvic area.
these things usually don't go on much longer than 24 hours, so you're probably nearing the end. rest rest rest as you can. sip some ginger tea? eat a bit of banana? i really craved some oatmeal with brown sugar when i stopped throwing up -- don't know why, but it felt just right.
you will get things restabilized after this, alemama. just focus on letting this pass and then you can rest and get back to feeling stronger.
sending you lots of love.

sorry you are not feeling well
Hi Alemama:
I am sorry that you are not feeling well. I too had the stomache bug this weekend. I am just starting to feel better though.
I wondered while going so to speak if it was causing any further damage. Its not like I was straining or pushing but I could definately feel force. It's not like I could stop the force either.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

update
sorry it took me so long to get here. Thank you all for the good advice and concern...It is funny- you women creep into my thoughts daily. Especially when a new situation arises. So here is my feedback from my current setback- yes it was the runs- in a big way- and I couldn't keep anything down and it ran it's course in about 24 hours. Right now I am sore all over- and I feel it in my perineum. I haven't felt around but everything looks more swollen. I am going to give it a few days and then check again. I definitely feel more prolapsie today.

take it easy!
hey alemama:
glad you checked in. i, too, was thinking about you and wondering how you were doing.
please relax and rest as best you can for the next few days -- drink fluids, eat simply. i have had the runs once or twice and it would get tender around my perineum as well. any chance you have some comfrey ointment around? i used that and found it soothing.
of course you feel more prolapse today. no surprise. totally confident that, in time, you will get back to a really comfortable place.
love to you.

Sick
I have some kind of flu and not the intestinal kind--but that achy --chills,headache--that kind and i feel swollen all over--never noticed that before--are there any natural things I can do to feel better?
My DD had an earache last week--up all night crying--on a Sunday--no Doc...she is seven and I was desparate and went on line and found out about using garlic and olive oil to make drops and it totally worked!!
i am wondering if there is something to take for the flu!

flu
I had a similar thing recently, therese. my mw recommended sambucol, I believe its an echinacea blend of some sort. its liquid and pretty nasty, imo, but it kicks @ss.
I second the garlic oil for earaches too. we have a mulein/garlic oil blend for the kiddos. works great, even if they stink like bad chinese food for a few hours.
I hope you feel better soon

thanks granola mom...
Well...I spoke too soon.
Yesterday was spent with a stomach flu--felt lucky since I really didn't feel that prolapsey even after that attack and then upon rising with the baby early this a.m.!! I think it is strep...
The whole back of my throat is white. I was reading about sambucol--echinacea with elderberry maybe? Jane Seymour--Dr Quinn? She uses it and said the same thing you did. I think I need the dr now that it is strep though but next time at the first onset of symptoms I will be trying that. I am amazed at the way we have "cured" conditions here with natural remedies! Earaches, acid reflux and sinus's...have all been cured at my house since I came here and began to get interested in natural things! Oh I hate the whole Dr trip!! Thanks!!
