A 3 week update!

Body:

Hello Ladies,

Its been 3 weeks or so since my diagnosis of UP prolapse, and having the so called doctor pulling on my cervix in the attempt of scaring me to death. He did. That is until I found this site. This site and the ladies who answered my cries for help made me realize I am not going to have all my insides suddenly fall out and I can help myself and avoid surgery hopefully forever.

I started this journey with my cervix playing peek a boo. Now it is in hiding, and I am not looking for it! haha
For the last week now, I have been feeling so much better! I do most of the exercises in the new book (I still hope I am doing them right) Firebreathing at least 2 times a day, and have done it in the rest room of a store when felt the need! And the posture. That is still a work in progress but I am staying in it longer each day. I especially love to walk in the posture. It seems that is when I "get it" best. Is this true for anyone else?

I ordered the sea sponges. I have been using that for the last three days. I dont really think I need them but I have to say I love the "extra" feeling of support. I have not had any problems so far. Not being pushed out or feeling uncomfortable. I guess for right now I like knowing there is something between my uterus and my VG opening, just in case.... ;)

I have to say I read this site everyday. I do not know Christine but because of her PASSIONATE DETERMINATION to keep her self from surgery she has helped me feel like maybe I too, can keep from having it as well. In order to continue helping many women I so understand that one needs money to do that. So I hope your book makes the best seller list!

Thanks also to the rest of you "worker bees" who keep this hive of knowledge humming along!

Linda

your own hard work & determination brought it about

I think there are quite a few of us who arrived here thinking 'Tat could never work' And now hold such a passion for this work that we wonder why we were so worried :)

Great you are feeling so much better...

Thanks Granola mom (nak) and Sue!
Thanks for all you do for us ladies starting out on this journey. I'll be leaving on vacation tomorrow..
Swimming and some light hiking, will be curious how I "hold up" ;)

Got a quick question... about swimming. I have read in past posts it is ok to swim so not to concerned about that. I am curious if it would be best NOT to have the sea sponge in? I'm thinking it will absorb water? Or will it act more like a barrier and keep the water out?
Also how do any of you handle long car rides? Any hints?
I feel I've made so much progress I don't want to back slide!

One more thing! This might help someone with constipation. In an **emergency situation** take a mega dose of Vitamin C. I use Emergen-c powder packs. I learned this from my favorite Thyroid site. If you have a sluggish thyroid it could be a cause of constipation. It is advised to take in till "bowel tolerance". Your bodies natural way of getting rid of extra vitamin c. Works like a charm for me. I usually need 3 packs. Some need more.
For every day I drink one or two, take fish oil and flax oil. Eat tons of veggies, etc. I have not had to use the mega dose in over a year now. Between eating well and my Armour thyroid meds I am good to go! ;)

Thanks again Girls!
Linda

thanks linda...my dd is prone to constipation and is an extremely finicky eater. next time I will try getting her to take some vit c. what a good idea, can't believe I didn't think of it.

oh, and nak = nursing at keyboard

I just note it so you know why my post is short with typos. I'm usually at the computer with a nursling on one breast so I'm picking at keys with one hand

enjoy your vacation!

Hi Linda

Oh Yeah, car rides. See my post of 29 July 2006, called "car seats". There is a lot of detail, some of which may not be relevant, but it all works well. I have come to the conclusion that one of the most important aspects of sitting in a car is not leaning back into the back of the seat, lumbar support or not. Not leaning back keeps your centre of gravity forward and gives you more lower belly space for your pelvic organs. Leaning back is aggravated when your hands are on the wheel and your arms press your shoulders back. You need bent arms when driving.

Actually i try not to lean against the back of chairs or seats at all when sitting up off the floor. You get used to it. I figure the less chances I give my pelvic contents to slide into undesirable configurations the better.

Also search the forum with the search box. Unfortunately "car" is too short to search so add another word or some driving or car synonyms. There is quite a bit on the Forum already.

Cheers

Louise
