Christine on the runway...

Body:

Christine,

We're waiting patiently (not) for a photo of one of these designs of yours. Have you a digital camera?

I've sewn a few things. Kids halloween costumes, hats, basic draperies, nothing as precise as a pair of pants or skirt - especially where I'd have to improvise on the pattern. I'd love to see what I'm aiming for before I give it a whirl.

I can tell it would make a difference for me. I have a few pair of pants that can be sort of pushed down to where they need to be because they're a little oversized, but the pants that close right around my waist with no wiggle room definitely affect my ability to less-consciously remain in the natural posture and therefore how I feel.

Will you model for us?

:)

Christine, you're georgous!

I just love the clothes. OK, I'm inspired. I'll let you know when I get something that I can wear in public without fear of it falling apart when I move. I'll probably try pants first because that's what I wear the most.

You really made all of those yourself? WOW.

Kelly

Thanks, Kelly!

And many thanks to Lanny Goodman for leaving his work day early, taking the pictures, and driving all the way back to town to create a page for them!

So glad you like the clothes! I

I've definitely come to realize how much we as a culture compromise because we allow corporations to make our food for us. It's amazing what passes for food these days. I'm thankful for the insight I've been granted - the reward being amazing food that tastes great and makes me feel wonderful.

I guess I hadn't thought about clothing that way before though. I buy very little - other than what's necessary - for myself in terms of clothing. Most of what I have came in the way of gifts from my very generous and style-conscious sisters. I guess it's for this pre-fab reason, though I'd never quite figured it out before. I just knew that I didn't like what I saw/tried on.

Everytime I look at pattern books for clothing (usually on my way to the costume section) I get big ideas, but haven't ever jumped in and tried it. Now I have a great reason and will give it a go.

I assume you like cotton and don't like polyester? Any other fabric you recommend?

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

My sentiments precisely regarding food, and YES! the same awakening applies to clothing. Cotton is both an old and new world fiber and cultures everywhere utilized its simple, beautiful, and functional qualities. It
