When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Pain ...
... thankfully has never been an issue for me but I do get much more emotional. I could have had a darn good cry the last couple of days. I have also been feeling dizzy this month - not sure if that's AF or something else.
My AF's usually last 7 days with the first 3 being the heaviest.
That doesn't really answer your question does it?! I only have the odd month where I get period pains but I do remember as a teenager getting awful backache. Now I am older and after kids I get backache all the time so I can never tell if its me or AF causing it.
Sorry I'm not much help but I hope you feel better in a day or two.

3 Advil and Ground Flax Seed
It's rough. One tablespoon of ground flax per day really does help with the horrid menstrual pains. I was getting horrible menstrual and ovulation pains and started taking this. I try every day, but it doesn't always happen. But, really I had no pains at all when I was doing it everyday, but even if you only do it sometimes, it really does make it about a quarter of what it was before. And, advil when it's really bad.

I am sorry you are feeling
I am sorry you are feeling so rough Alemama! :(
I tend to get a slightly achey vagina for the heaviest day of my period since I got the prolapse, and I have always needed motrin for the first day or so as I get bad cramps otherwise.
If I were you I would take a couple of motrin or tylenol, and go for the magic cure all................a nice steamy hot bath! I am sure you will feel better tomorrow. One's first period after being pregnant and nursing tends to be worse for some women, heavier and longer, so I imagine it wont be so bad next time, unless there isn't a next time and you are pregnant of course! :):)
Hugs! xxx

cramps
I used to get that kind of awful cramping. all the way down my legs. It usually lasted no more than three days. I had always had painful periods like that until a few years ago when I eliminated all caffeine and dairy products. don't know if it was related, or coincidence, but I've had painfree periods since.
hopefully this is a fluke for you, and the next cycle will be painless.
or you could always get pg!
(((((hugs)))))

instead soft cups
oh no- I tried one of these today and it got suctioned in and I couldn't get it out and then when I finally got it out it pulled really hard on my prolapse-ahh. kinda funny- but not really
and if I didn't have an achey vagina before I sure do now.
I can remember before kids not having the ache until I had been wearing super tampons for 3 days.....It was instant this morning.
Thank you for letting me whine. It seems to be all I want to do...waahwaahwaaah
so you think advil will help the ache?
Can't I just stay in bed for a week?
oh and a more practical question. Do you all manage the posture during this time?

Oh Alemama, I tried an
Oh Alemama, I tried an instead soft cup several months ago as well and the exact same thing happened until I got in a right old panic trying to pull it out as it suctioned itself in tight. I was in a right old tizzy dancing around on one leg and saying words I shouldn't have around children very loudly. It IS quite funny looking back but wasn't at the time! :)
Yes, I think advil will help in the short term, and I have to say that I am not debilitated by the discomfort enough to affect posture.
Finally, yes, you have my permission to stay in bed for a week, or more if you need it! Tell your hubby from me wont you! Ha Ha :)

Posture
Yes I am able to keep posture during this time but although I don't get menstral cramps I do get a very achy bruised feeling in my vagina and find I need to sit alot. This has been going on since my son was born so nothing new since prolapse but after changing posture I feel it more in the front than in the middle like I used to. I remember after my son was born during these times of the month I couldn't even squat down due to the discomfort - all warning signs me thinks! WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME!!!
Whine all you want and rest as much as you want during this time. I take it easy and I get very emotional.

you ladies make me laugh : )
I will never try one of those, not after reading your stories. also, when I got fitted for a diaphragm (before I knew I had a prolapse) it got stuck in the mw's office. and yeah, I did the silly dance saying some words I probably shouldn't have said in my mw's presence. I do wonder if yanking the d@mn thing helped cause the cystocele. too late now. I will never wear that thing either.
re: posture & periods, I do have a hard time staying in posture during my period. not sure why though.
and you have my permission to stay in bed for a week too.

Hi Alemama
Sorry you're having a rough time of it. I've had that leg ache thing and it is misery. Hot baths and heating pads really help me. What is AF? I probably should know, but my mind is blank right now. Take care. Kit

a rough week for so many of us!
I think something is up with the stars.
I find that drinking red clover tea before my period helps with symptoms. Also motherwort tincture(which is also very good for anxiety! I have been taking that lately!) and cramp bark.
feel better! whine away if you need to. hang in there
