Success with Herbs!

Body:

Hello ladies,
I posted a few weeks back saying I would give more info on the herbs I was taking....

Well for those interested I have been taking:
Equisitum Arvense, Alchemila Vulgaris, Achilea Milefolium & Chamaelirium Luteum.

In English: Lady's Mantle, Horsetail, Yarrow, and False Unicorn Root.

I'm not sure of the quantities of each, my brother has mixed them for me as he is a herbalist.

I just wanted to say that within a few weeks I really have noticed a big difference. Now this could be put down to the fact that I am still only 10 months post partum and may have co-incidentally made an improvement this last month anyway? but I am inclined to think it's the herbs. I have also lost 9lbs since starting them without dieting (my bro thinks I was therefore retaining water before). Maybe the weight loss in itself has helped?

All I know is my Cystocele and slight rectocele have improved greatly, still 'there' but I can only really feel at the end of the day most days. I just feel much firmer inside and although I can still feel the cystocele bulge near the entrance of my vagina at the end of the day it's not as 'saggy/puffy' feeling but more firm and muscular like - hope this is making sense??? It's hard to explain. I also think it is drawn up slightly which has made ALL the difference. I haven't worn my pessary for weeks now and have been fine.

If anyone has any more specific questions re quantities /dose etc. I can ask my bro if he would mind answering emails.

Sorry if I sound evangelical but I am really pleased that I have improved further!

Hope this helps someone,
Zoe x

P.S. My son (10 months a few days ago) took his first steps yesterday - can you believe that? So young! I think he is keen to be chasing his sister!

I am interested in trying some herbal things also---I'm checking into it. Thank you for sharing about your success. I had to smile when you posted about your son walking! Both my grown daughters were walking at 8 months (I wasn't really READY for that!!) and my youngest grand-daughter (now 10 months) started walking at 8 months--she is now steady enough to run and follow us around. She thinks it's great fun and chuckles and squeals with delight while she's running! It's SO precious to watch her---and listening to her laughter is the most delightful sound!!

Enjoy him while you can!~~smile~~

Peace,
S&G

Oh Zoe, that's such great news!
I really believe in the ability of alternative therapies to heal. i've had great success with homeopathy and chinese herbs with my prolapses--i definately felt little lifts with each. i still take my homeopathic remedy if i overdo things, just to give it a bit of healing.
keep us updated...
and so exciting about the walking! they are so gorgeous as they toddle about. definately one of my favourite stages (but i've been saying that about every stage since our baby was born!!!)

WOW! In what form are you taking these herbs? (dried, tincture?) Can you get more details?
Horsetail is good for all kinds of urinary conditions
keep up the good work mama!

zoe, that's fabulous!

when I get my act together I plan to look into herbs too. will no doubt be back with questions then.

its great you found something that works for you.

and congrats on your boys first steps. so precious! take video, before he learns to walk well. they're so cute with the wide-waddle-waddle-waddle-fall gait.

Hi Stella,
They are mixed into a tincture with alcohol I believe. I have to mix it with hot water so the alcohol evaporates first. It is the foulest tasting stuff LOL.
I take 15mls of the mix in a day in 2 or 3 doses so not a great amount but yuck!
If anyone has any more specific questions I can get the answers from my brother. I'm sure he will help all he can.
TTFN,
Zoe.

Wow 8 months!! I can't imagine how cute that would look. I thought 10 months was early! He he they are so cute - def going to get the video recorder out!
