When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hey Ginny
Of course you can swim!. A prolapse is only organs that have shifted a bit, in ways that are a tad uncomfortable, with the assistance of our old friend, gravity. If you go swimming your pelvic organs will just float back up to where it used to be. There are no more apertures than there were before. There is no open wound (just wounded self-esteem till you come to grips with it), so no extra risk of infection, just lovely, lovely water all round you.
BTW, there are other body parts that will float higher too! ;-)
Swimming is great whole body exercise too. But the exercise that will help you manage your prolapses on dry land is non-jarring, vertical (ie standing up), and utilises Wholewoman posture. Have a look at Christine Kent's DVD, First Aid for Prolapse, and the second edition of her book Saving the Whole Woman, both of which can be bought at the online store at www.wholewoman.com . The book has a great dance workout which is based on a classical ballet class. Also have a look at Christine's blog, Why We Need a New Yoga for Women, if you are into yoga.
This is not a standard sales spiel. There are some forms of exercise that are not very good for POP at all, and some that can be modified so you can still safely do them with POP, but you need to understand the principles behind Wholewoman techniques before you can apply these principles. You may find that you are not limited at all in what you can do, except for the sort of heavy lifting that no woman should do, and jarring activities. Every woman is different as we all have different bodies. Once you work out what the danger signals are, and how you can modify activities, you will be fine.
Cheers

Hey there. Just wanted to share that you may draw some water into your vagina during swimming. This has happened to me before-it doesn't really seem to matter because when you get out you are dripping wet anyway- but it might catch you off guard to have the gushing sensation. There is a search function you can type the word swim into and get some older post about it.
