Improvement!

Body:

I haven't checked in here for weeks but just wanted to say that I've bought Christine's book and read it from cover to cover. Just practicing the posture has helped enormously as has the advice on how to empty the bladder properly. I had an appointment with a gynaecologist the other week who said my prolapse was not too bad and certainly he wouldn't recommend surgery. Whoopee! He seemed glad when I said I didn't want surgery anyway. From what I could gather, it seems improved since I saw my GP. I feel very hopeful and can't express enough my gratitude for finding this site and the book.

Things have been very difficult lately, ill elderly parents to look after and other family dramas - I've been run off my feet and feel so fortunate to have some sensible plan re prolapse, otherwise I think I would have been feeling extremely low.

Be back soon

Maudie

Hi Maudie

Good news indeed, and isn't it great to begin to be able to trust your body again!

Did you talk with the gyno about Wholewoman posture etc? How did he respond?

Cheers

Louise

Hello Louise

It certainly is good news. No I didn't talk to the Dr about Whole Woman, I was late for my appointment as I'd gone to the wrong clinic and feeling a bit desperate about the examination - I'd never seen this man before and was glad that in the UK there is a law about having to have a female nurse present.

My general level of trust in Doctors isn't good I'm afraid. I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2003 and have had endless struggles with consultants. Because it's a multi-system disorder you end up seeing 5 different consultants for different bits of you that are going wrong and there's never anyone who seems to have an overview. You get passed round from dr to dr and none of them want to take responsibility for the situation. Anyway - rant over. The upshot is that I avoid too much contact with Dr's of any persuasion as much as possible and certainly don't confide in them about 'alternative' treatments as I've found them less than enthusiastic in the past!
