coping with rectocele

Body:

Just wanted everyone to know I am dealing with the rectocele much better now. When it got worse this last time it was like I was letting it consume my mind. I'm doing the posture and very careful with lifting. I'm no spring chick anymore. I still have some bad days with constipation but when I do I just use a Fleet enema and go on my way. I hardly ever wear my pessary.

I know there for a while stress was about to get to me but since I'm stuck with this blankety blank rectocele I will handle it. What I'm trying to say is that I can control it and with determination I am. I haven't had any more yeast infections and I quit taking the nystatin. I took it for a month and stopped. I think it was causing me to have some stomach problems but I can't say for sure. Maybe so but it is a possible side effect. I love it when they advertise meds and tell you all the side effects they can have. I do take my hormone and diuretic. People like me better when I take my hormone. lol

This site has been a great help. Thanks to Christine and everyone. I still read the posts and get some very good ideas for diet and a lot of helpful tips. Like can't live without granny smith apples!

Hi Chattylady

So much good news today! What a change!

Sounds like you are much calmer and more together than when we heard from you last. There is no doubt about it. Stress can cause secondary stress. Finding out how to 'pour soothing warm water on the source of it' can make such a difference to our overall wellbeing. Once stress no longer rules you 24/7 you can get on with having a life.

When you think that Nystatin kills yeast, it is a biocide. There are healthy microflora of different types all through our bodies. It makes sense that your stomach or other body parts were complaining. Have you had a course of oral probiotics to help your digestive system to rebalance itself?

Cheers

Louise
