Yoga

Christine:

Thank you for your postings regarding yoga and which postures to be cautious with or to avoid. Have you given any more thought to seeking out the "gurus" within the yoga field that would be in harmony with your philosphy about yoga and its relation to prolapse? I think you may be right on about a "female yoga." I have practiced Ashtanga yoga for four years now. But due to your sharing of wisdom regarding postures with 90 degree angles - such as the triangle, elements of the warrior, etc.; plus recently I started to experience pain around my right sitting bone which after researching on the web (yogajournal.com) very well may be a pulled or torn hamstring and difficult to heal - due to be very flexible and involving certain repeated postures within the Ashtanga practice. Thus my yoga sessions are presently rather limited even though the class is 90 minutes in length. I will need to speak with my yoga instructor to see if he can modify the sequence of postures for me. So will you be pursuing the "female yoga" concept more and offering it at your new center - better yet offer it in book and video form? I do plan to order your current video in the next week. Look forward to more details about the new center too. I've always wanted to visit New Mexico!

By the way, I recall one of the ladies mentioning that around the menstrual cycle experiencing a more prominent feeling from the prolaspe. Since doing the exercises/stretches in your book and if I do them consistently, every day, I experience my menstrual cycle as though I am prolaspe free.

Many thanks for all your good works,
Evie

Hi Evie!

Yes, my interest is in developing a woman

Christine:

You are too kind to suggest I develop a "female yoga." Alas, I am not enough of a yoga expert to do such - besides it was your idea!

My apologies for not writing the "greater than 90 degrees" yoga posture information correctly. A slip of the keyboard and my memory!

As always, thanks for the information and previews of what is to come from Whole Woman.
