Update

Body:

I do check in from time to time but with a new job description and a grandbaby on the way in addition to my son and family moving back into town with their twins, my plate is a bit full. But did want to update you on me and hopefully be a source of encouragement to the "newbies."

My universal prolapses are the same (no surgery) and as long as I maintain the posture, be it sitting, standing, walking or whatever task I am involved with, I really have no problems. I still wear the v-brace on my physically active days and when there is slight pressure, I bend over from the waist pretending to pick something up and just stay that way for a few seconds. It really seems to help. Either that, or on my hands and knees playing with my grandson. See how well I can do fun stuff and disguise the underlying motive?

I am and will be eternally grateful for Christine and the work she has done. It makes perfectly good sense given the way our bodies are shaped. Hopefully, at the age of 59, I won't ever need surgery. I think I may even be bold enough to say that my UP has gotten better and as long as I don't have a full bladder, the cystocele is not noticeable and using colace keeps the rectocele undamaged. WOW! I am a "broken" but mending person.

I do encourage each and everyone to voice their concerns, share their victories and ask, ask questions. Given that the prolapse forum deals strictly with prolapses and one major way to deal with them, the board can slow down a bit. Other boards have numerous and extensive issues to deal with, thereby the more participaton. The one thing guaranteed - when women search the net to find help, hopefully this site will be there to greet them.

Christine~ I do hope your newsletters don't go by the wayside. They are really informative!
