Concept2 rowing

Body:

I have got my own Concept2 rowing machine, but since discovering the bulge, I have felt scared to use it. I intuit that the combination of (slight) leaning back plus bracing the abs plus pushing with the feet and legs plus pulling with the arms all add up to a scenario which could make things worse. But I'd like to be sure before giving up rowing forever and selling my machine. Can anyone help?

I have used a C2...

To be able to use this and in a POP friendly was you must make sure you do NOT lean back too far - This is easily done, but if you have looked at the pictures in the C2 book or in the book 'The kinesiology of rowing' you will see that the rowing stoke does not tell you to lean back far at all - You only lean back a small way just until your back is 10-15 degrees. If you are leaning back to far your POP will pay the price.......

I have rowed for many years - (Dont have my own C2 now which is very sad as I was told to get rid when dx with MS, but it is the one exercise I have always missed - and no other rower is anything like a C2 to me - Having used one for so many million metres...)

Hope that helps some....
