Bladder, bowels and baby

Body:

I was doing some research on the prolapse and found this interesting website with so much good information on it. I was really intrigued by the part where they talk about the overdistention of the bladder while receiving an epidural. When I received an epidural with my first baby, I remember the nurse finally draining the urine from my bladder and saying "wow, I've never seen this much come out of anyone before!". My bladder had not been emptied for about twelve or thirteen hours! Now I am understanding why my poor bladder has fallen down. It's no wonder it didn't fall right out!!

Thanks so much, Candice for sending this. I quote doctors Sultan and Stanton in my book, as they are some of the first gynecologists to speak out strongly against the escalating cesarean rate.

The entire epidural thing is just too weird. Have you been to www.birthworks.org? If you read some of Michel Odent's work you will be amazed. It would be such a marvelous career for some of you younger women with prolapse to become childbirth educators and midwives. Midwives with specialty knowledge in prolapse and natural healing are extremely needed.
