Books

Body:

My name is aza and i am completely and unashamedly addicted to books. I've gotten a few really good recommendations from women on this forum and thought I'd start a thread as a resource for us all (not that I am looking for more books to buy or anything;) )

So spread around my house right now (I won't even go to the bookshelf just yet):
* STWW (obviously)
* Woman by Natalie Angier (whoa SO much information on anatomy and physiology of the female body and quite humorous to read, which is always a help)
* Yoga for Wellness by Kraftsow (who on the temp forum recommended this one? It is a great resource for figuring out how to heal your own body through yoga, very informative)
* Wise Woman Herbal by Susun Weed (she also has a menopause specific book)
* Spinal Manipulation Made Simple by Maitland (great info for everyone with a spine)
* Miracle Moms Better Sex Less Pain on the Wurn technique (the name and look of the book does not do it justice; really great info on adhesions in fascia and related problems)

Now, clearly, these books are not really about POP but there is relevant info in all of them that would be useful to anyone with POP or anyone taking responsibility for their own health and healing.
So fess up...tell me about your books
(and if no one answers I will happily feel like the dork with her beloved boring books:))

Thanks so much for posting this, Aza. It’s kind of amazing timing to me, coz I spent all day organizing my own library! Several boxes of my books have been in storage for a few years and I’ve been sorely missing them. But I didn’t have room for them on my shelves, so had to cull an equal number and swap them out for the ones in storage. It wasn’t how I intended to spend my day, but it ended up taking forever, even with dh’s help. Now, for the first time in my life I have my shelves organized by subject and each shelf has a label on it! How lovely, as I have spent entirely too much of my life looking and looking for books. I absolutely love my books, too, Aza and know exactly what you mean. I will never be an electronic book reader. I will add to your list when I have a bit more time. Don't you think we should find a permanent place for it? C.

I love books too- just got Christine Northrops book on menopause at a garage sale- also one by Susan Weed I do not manage a collection.they are just all over the house, up and down stairs.
We have a huge Chapters book store in our town and I come alive when in it....

I love my books too! right now the only POP type books I have are christines. most of my books are kids books, I dont' get much reading time these days.
I don't think I will ever cross over to electronic reading either. reading is a multisensory experience, I love the way my books feel.
