Walking for exercise

I love to walk. Last week I noticed my prolapse seemed worse after I walked a 5K. Is that normal? I do not want to give up walking. What can I do?

I don't think you need to worry about having to give up walking--it's so great for you! But, I think you need to listen to your body. think about how you are walking. do you stay in posture? what was the terrain like? what type of footwear? where you carrying a heavy bag? try to figure out if anything might have been keeping you from being in posture, and also if anything else wasn't helping. i know walking is usually great for me, but occasionally things feel worse for no obvious reason. however with WW we find that we can get through the downs, and things quickly go back to normal. so don't worry about having to let go of your walks--but do think about your posture, what you wear, what you carry etc, and try to ensure it is all as optimal as possible.
